GUERLAIN SANTAL ROYAL is probably my most COMPLEX cologne,Rosey,Oudy type of challenging scent,I'm still trying to figure it out,lol,it's definitely not for everyone,great review my lady,you introduced me to some new colognes I never heard of before,keep up the great work and I'll keep watching,stay well....

Hi Clémence. Love your video, as always. My favorite that I actually have are Santal, f.fabulous and Musc Raveur. Love them. The one that I am actually looking for later is Oud for greatness and Side effect which are truly masterpiece. And you know what, I really like your taste .Do you think you will be able to make a video of your best classics for man one day please? ☺️ It's just a suggestion. Your channel was a chance find, but very enjoyable and, what can I say, I am a sucker for a French accent and inflection speaking English. With that voice you will never really need perfume. Anyway, this was a very good video. I absolutely agree about Floris Honey Oud. It was my first oud-based fragrance and the quality just runs off your skin when you wear it. Your love of gently, spiced Oriental Oud fragrances is exactly where I am, too. As a suggestion, would you do a video breaking down mens fragrances but age group? I feel that the fragrances that work for a young man in his 20s might not be the automatic choice for an adult man in his mid-30s, and choice probably moves again for middle aged men in their mid-40s and upwards. I would be interested in seeing how you would break this down and what elements/qualities you would choose to identify with each age group?
That would be a very nice topic and very interesting, I always think fragrance has no age, but we are drawn to different scents as we age ! So I would love to that ! Thanks for the suggestion!
Blushing American here! You're so beautiful! Thank you for these videos! I just recently purchased Sauvage Dior, bleu de Chanel for men, and Mont Blanc: Legend Spirit! Ill probably get a budget friendly fragrance next like Nautica Voyage or Halloween Man X!

I just ordered “Eau de Guerlain “ a vintage bottle from an eBay seller (old box and green label as opposed to the modern reformulated version.
It is one of my favorite summer scents, the Guerlainade in the dry down smells incredible on my skin, I can’t stop smelling my wrist whenever I wear it.
I’ve searched all over UA-cam and not a single person has reviewed it, I may just do a quick video on it myself 👍

Clémence CC Fragrance thats good! All we can do is try. And yes, just this past Saturday night I was at a bistro and received 3 unsolicited compliments moments apart wearing Le Male. Also overheard a woman next to me tell her friend “someone smells really good” lol. Although I was standing next to freshly pealed citrus, so I feel that certainly added to the lovely silage in the air 😜

What a great list, especially as it didn't include all the usual suspects on many lists. There were more fragrances with oud than I had expected, but as long as it's not a stinky oud that's OK with me.
I love the Colonia range from Acqua di Parma... do you think the 'Intensa' is better than the 'Essenza'?
I think the one I'd like to try the most would be the Floris 'Honey Oud'... if it's as good as 'No. 89' I'll be very happy.

Yes, same for me I like the Oud nicely balanced, and the ones I talked about are really like that !
I 100% prefer the intensa ! I thought it was much more an interesting contrasted fragrance especially with the notes of leather. The essenza gives me much more greenness.
Im sure you would suit a honey oud, knowing your elegant taste a bit more !

You nailed it! 👊🏻😎 I received Nishane Ani, Karagoz and a decant of Musc Ravageur. Tested them on my skin, MR blew my head, I ordered a bottle immediately, I kept Nishane inside my drawer, rocking Musc Ravageur everyday. Compliments every time I use it, Idid not expected that.

I wanted to ask if , in ur opinion, ARABIANS TONKA and OUD FOR GREATNESS do share some similarities? I was thinking about blind buying Arabians Tonka but I’m afraid it’ll be overly sweet ( kinda cloying ) as the note breakdown declares .
So what do you think ? And is the oud noticeable in it ?

It's quite risky to blind buy tho ! The Oud is more discreet in this one that Oud for greatness for sure

I like Oud for greatness. I just finished a 2ml decant and did receive an unsolicited compliment one of the times I wore it. Funny how you mentioned a BR540 comparison. I also get a slight connection to Kalan which of course is also compared to BR540. I think I like Kalan more, but Oud for greatness definitely has a smoother more refined vibe.

Santal Royal is amazing, when I sprayed it on my wrist in the store, I turned around after 10 minutes and purchased.

Santal Royal is one I'm still trying to figure out,very COMPLEX to my nose...
One I recently sampled, Tom Ford Oud Minerale, could work in this video. The opening is kind of terrible, like this Oud with a dirty resin, but once the aquatic/marine notes come in and balance the fragrance it a mature kind of sexy. James Bond on the beach. Has that similar in the vibe like le male where it's the ex-boyfriend but this is more on a hairy chested, dad level.
Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur somehow reminds me of a manly version of Dior Ambre Nuit. Really like that one.
Love Oud minérale ! Such a beautiful description of the scent!

Vanilla... ok, try Meander Amouage, the perfume is added with Olibanum, that ingredient gives a woody, vanilla, soft lemon and amber tone/vibe 👌

Apparently there’s actually no musk in Musc Ravageur, according to Maurice Roucel 🤷🏻♂️
That's very interesting ! I think for me it's more the "musk like" effect meaning very ultra powdery and a touch of animalic background. But anyway it will for sure be a synthetic note as we can't technically use musk anymore !

I just don’t get the Musc Ravageur Hysteria, to me it smells like some kind of christmassy pie, cute but not sexy. Perhaps is something I’m getting wrong? For example when I look at animalistic smelling scent I think of Declaration by Cartier!?
