Fascinating, yet another piece of history I knew nothing about, thank you for bringing a glimpse into the past, a nice piece of research and some excellent video Andy.
Good historical information! That's a horrible tragedy. I have never seen such spillway construction. That's quite unique. Fascinating subject. Thank you!
Nice video, loved all the history and old photos. Sounds like a dramatic event. I love the sound of running water an it looks amazing. It would be good to see in person 😊
This was a very interesting explore. Keep them coming Andy 👍 If Dave was being really brave he would have stepped on the back of the Croc to get to the other side. Just like James Bond in Live & Let die 😂
When you look at the original outlets at 1:35 not the spillway the 2 outlet pipes look like they have been put in after, what id like to know did the outlets used to be fully open and flowing out the whole with of the tunnels? I was thinking maybe the original outlet control system allowed water to flow out of the tunnels that come out of the dam wall
Hello there, yes they do indeed look like a later modification. Dock tunnels in ports where i have worked used to be for flooding up dry docks were of a very similar construction and the full tunnel would flood.

There are still ruins of the old buildings off the dam wall underwater.
Hello there, if i ever get an underwater drone i might go back one day
Ther are no BUILDERS AROUND TODAY! LIKE THOSE WHO BUILT THIS WARK OF HART !?.
I don’t know about that but it would certainly be concrete
