Factory Bergara HMR 6.5 Creedmoor
22" 1:8 twist factory barrel
Patriot Valley Arms Mad Scientist Muzzle Brake
SWFA 3-15 x 42 optics + Vortex PMR Rings
Handloaded 143 gr ELD-X going 2710 fps.
Dialed 15 mils for 1503 yards.
Official MJC Rules:
1 - Distance must be verified by laser range finder, GPS or google earth and found to be clearly farther than the distance for the challenge that is being attempted.
2 - Each shooter has a maximum of 10 shots within 10 minutes. ABSOLUTELY NO SIGHTERS are allowed. 10 shots in 10 minutes is very generous in most cases.
3 - Shooters may attempt the challenge up to 3 times in a 24 hours period but must rest a minimum of 30 minutes between each attempt.
**Live Event Rules
1.Attempts must be officiated by an LRSU official designated by Long Range Shooters of Utah, LLC.
2. Live attempts must be witnessed by 3 individuals (LRSU official included.)
3. Shooter has a maximum of 10 minutes to take their 10 shots. Time begins when the shooters name is called.
4. Upon confirmation by the official a successful shooter is presented with their LRSU Milk Jug Challenge Decal and is interviewed about their rifle, ammo, optics and experience shooting the challenge. Video of each successful shooter's attempt is posted to the LRSU UA-cam Channel and the Milk Jug Challenge Roster (web address below.)

5. Separate challenges exist for 1000 yards, 1200 yards, 1500 yards and 1 Mile.

Funny too, shoot a mile with a 308, then 1500 with a Creedmoor. Next you should use a 300 RUM for 1200 and a 338 LM for 1k!!

I love this. I want to do this. I’m in southern Utah and just bought my first Bergara HMR Pro in 6.5 cm. Vortex Strike Eagle. Don’t have the coin after rifle for the better Vortex or night force but one day. How do I get in touch ?
Seems he likes the Creedmoor only up to 1500, then 308 for beyond. I gotta wonder at what distance he chooses the 338 Lapau.
You probably already know this but the 6.5 Creedmoor is far more capable than the .308. It's far more common for someone to be successful at a mile with a 6.5 Creedmoor than a .308. The reason he's said what he did, is because he made an incredible shot at 1 mile with his .308 and a fixed 12x scope that got so many views that Bergara gave him the 6.5 Creedmoor he used in this video. What's he's saying is that he would much rather do it with a .308 but it's much more difficult and therefore much more impressive.

I laugh how he said he would rather not say it was a Creedmoor. I shoot a Savage 10 in .308 and looking at the HMR's cal. choices I feel like i'm being pressured into the creed. .300 mag is a little much for target shooting,don't care for .22-250,and don't want another .308 for my second bolt gun.
So if Bryce farts while shooting does that turn the bolt rifle into a gas gun?

Factory barrel is 24 inch, not 22"?
I'm curious as well. HMR 6.5cm is 22" according to Bergara's website, the HMR PRO 6.5cm is 24".
Factory barrel you can get in 22” and they made ones for cabelas in 24” so is possible to have a 24”
Mine is 22", but sometimes, Cabela's and Bass Pro sell a 24".
