I love good interactions with Christians like that. I am tired of polemical debate between Muslims and Christians.Let’s find what we have in common
    As God says
"قل يا أهل الكتاب تعالوا إلى كلمة سواء بيننا وبينكم ألا نعبد إلا الله ولا نشرك به شيا ولا يتخذ بعضنا بعضا أربابًا من دون الله فإن تولوا فقولوا اشهدوا بأنا مسلمون"

Amen. All differences aside, I think we are all simply trying to live a virtuous life. That should be the focus.

Will Dr. Ali Ataie do more of these interfaith dialogues in the near future? I always refer to this specific video when I'm sharing Islamic knowledge to others. Very knowledgeable man.

Great lecture, I understand that something needs to be rephrased when presented to a Christian audience, but it is important that we don't make any changes to the message of Islam. I noticed at minute 50, Dr. Ali said that if someone doesn't pray 5 times a day, that is okay and they are not considered not muslims, and it just makes you a devout Muslim. This is VERY problematic given the overwhelming majority of scholarly opinions, and this should not have been watered down like that. Other than that, thank you so much for a great lecture, I learnt a lot from it. Especially the question about the image of God.

Mostly accurate except when you started talking about Wahibism. There is nothing called Wahism. Sheikh Wahab just re-introduced the things people forgot. He didn't create a new "sect"

Correction : Wahhabis follows the Hanbali school of thought, they don't call them self's Wahhabis, this term was invented by the British then the Shia and Soffies kept using it until today just as the lecturer in this video.

Mean the deviation sect was created by the Brits to divide the Muslims world.

@@abdrahmanabdaziz319 how smart of you, a real genius 🤪
so the Brits will create a sect to divide the ummah AND will give it a DIFFERENT NAME like it was something newly invented?!! is that what you're saying?
or they'll try to make it look like it's something different by giving it a new name deceiving fools (like some people🙄) into thinking it's a new invented sect.

Wahabis are Hanbali in Fiqh. But the issue is in aqeedah and attitude towards other Muslims. In Aqeedah they are Anthropomorphists and in their attitude they are takfiris.

@@hammadahmad6312 Even in Fiqh they do not follow the Hanbali school in many of their positions, this is very well known among students of knowledge.
