I threw all my other junk tester away after I saw how accurate this new hanna salinity testing tool was. It took all my headaches away after one failed reef tank syndrome that kill all my fish due to using cheap testing tool that gave me many false readings that was not accurate. My second re-jumpstart tank is now up and running flawlessly. All my parameters are all within green light for re-introducing new fishes back into my Reef Tank.
I want to see it tested against a refractometor..... Seen a video a few months back displaying inaccurate readings with a competitor electro pulse devices..... Reviews were great either after I check back after some time of it being on the market.... I hope this thing stays dialed bc I like these things but only if I can trust them

I can certainly see this could be way more economical in the long run to us than traditional testing kits,especially if you test often. Thanks.

It gave you an error because you pressed calibration and there was no liquid for it to calibrate in. You were calibrating air.

I do not wash and put it directly in the tank. Do I have to wash the front part in clean water and use it?
Very informative will this save me a significant amount of time, vs a spectrometer? How long does the battery last? Does it require special batteries?
Way quicker than refractometer. Batter eailey will layer a year

Mine is way off , calibrated it about 40 times. Always reads 1.028-1.030 when it's actually at 1.026

Yes it does. This survey holds way better calibration. The fact that you can calibrate it is what’s makes it so attractive
