    This was another incredibly clear and thorough video, 100% new knowledge for me! Thank you again for all your efforts. Also looking forward to more in the MBD series

    Dave,
    A very quick question:
    How DO YOU recommend to have the 3D annotations made in the model: in the default combination state "Default All" (and then moved to each stand alone combination state) or creating them directly in the separate combination state? I am just curious about the best practice.

      Six of one, half dozen of the other.

    Is Creo Parametric an independent application?
    Does PTC Creo include Creo Parametric?

    • @CADPLMGuy
      @CADPLMGuy  2 роки тому

      I'll be specific. PTC is a company. One of their core brands is "Creo." (Other brands include "Mathcad" and "Windchill.") Their flagship Creo product is Creo Parametric, their primary mechanical CAD program. However, they have another mechanical CAD program called "Creo Elements/Direct." And they have other products under the Creo brand like Creo Simulate (analysis), Creo Schematics (2D cabling and piping diagrams), and Creo View (lightweight viewer for CAD models). That's why I am specific about saying "Creo Parametric" instead of the more generic "PTC Creo." I don't believe you can purchase "PTC Creo" but you can buy Creo Parametric.

    Thank you for the information. I have a doubt in creo 4.0. can you please let me know how to create datums(model) with plane and axis. I did in creo 3.0 but I couldn't able make it in creo 4.0.

    • @CADPLMGuy
      @CADPLMGuy  5 років тому +1

      Creo 4.0 strictly adheres to the 2009 standard in which Datum Feature Symbols reference geometry, not datums. IIRC there may be a config option that allows the old behavior but I strongly recommend following the 2009 or 2018 standards.

    • @CADPLMGuy

      The option is old_style_set_datum.

      @@CADPLMGuy it's working in model but I couldn't able show the datums in drawing. Can you please help me to fix that one.

      @@600490572 Are you using Show Model Annotations? Then again I'm not sure if 1994 datums are supported in drawings in Creo 4.0.

    sir please make video specially for all mechanism type-kinematic, static, force balace, position to define their characteristics.

      Honestly I don’t yet have a license for MDO. But if you share my videos and spread the word about the channel, I can qualify for monetization on UA-cam to afford the additional licenses and make more videos on advanced topics.
