Nomo is the only guy who did it at stadiums that no one has ever done it in. First at Coors Field, and then this at Camden Yards. His no-hitter record at the Coors Field will not likely be broken. 23 years later and still no one has ever done it. Even this one, 18 years later, no one has done it at Camden Yards. I can possibly see someone doing it at Camden Yards but not at Coors Field.
You are right...Nomo is just one of the best ever....
german marquez came oh so close!
@@jchamp_7 I know. He gave up a hit in the 9th inning. 😞
He also is one of only 5 pitchers to throw no hitters in both leagues.
The only way to pitch a no hitter at Coors is to throw pitches nobody can make contact with
Haha.. Dante Bichette as Nomo’s teammate after being his Victim at Coors field. Cool fun fact 👍🏻
Lame. Not cool. No one cares
@@HBKStyles who shat in ur cereal bud
And deshields was his teammate during his first no hit at Coors Field 😂
"Nomo pitch and nobody come home! Hideeeeeeeeeoo Hiddeeeoooo.....Nomo pitch and nobody come home!"
(love that song)
crowd cheering against their opponent is amazing
As much as it hurts to see, if someone pulls a no-hitter against your team, putting embarrassment aside, it's better to give respect where it's due and applaud that athlete than to boo like a sore loser. As Dodgers fan, when Jake Arrieta from Cubs(now he's in Phillies) pulled no-hitter against us in our stadium, as much as how embarrassing it was for the Dodgers, I still applauded Arrieta for his accomplishment.
EdDy4RheelZ The Dodgers fans were booing because it was a fake no hitter, they ruled a Dodger hit an error but it should have been a hit.
@@josecarranza7555 Still a fantastic performance by Arrieta tho.
@@RenaldyCalixte Irrelevant. It was a base hit.
@@josecarranza7555 A 1 hit complete game shutout is irrelevant? Dodger fans are weird. 😕
Japan sends over pure class to play in MLB.
Jason Varitek's first no-no. Best game calling catcher ever!
Still the only no-hitter in a pitcher's first outing with a team.
I was sitting behind home plate at this game. 2 Oriole fans we were talking to the entire game left in the 8th inning. Me and my buddy couldn't believe it.
Nomo was better than Darvish and Tanaka.
And daisuke.
I had no clue Nomo played for any team besides the Dodgers
Was at this game, had no clue he had a no hitter till the last inning.
as of 8 May 2024, still not another no-hitter at camden.
A Nomo No-No
いいね!
I remember a high school senior telling me, "Nomo is overrated. He only has 2 pitches." He probably made money betting on the Braves that year.
Well, this pitcher with 2 pitches no-no'd the Rockies at Coors Field and then the Orioles at Camden Yards. 2 no-hitters, in the opposing teams' home fields, in 2 different leagues.
Maybe he was right in the sense that pro sports rewards _consistency_ far more than talent or skill, because what good is an injured player who can shut down the opposition offense? But calling Nomo "overrated" is criminally short-sighted.
That dude is somewhere eating his words
Action Bronson brought me here
He is my hero in school days.
I was actually at that game. Didn't realize it was a no hitter until about inning 7 or 8.
Deshields last out...
Rod Beck sighting
Jason Varitek caught 7 no hitters for Red Sox
Interesting!
