One of my most treasured memories is coming out of a Delays gig in Brighton and walking back along the beach under the stars with those beautiful ethereal notes from Long Time Coming still dancing through my soul. You'll never be forgotten Greg 💙

Was much older when this came out. But it was a better time in my life, and now I'm just as jaded as you. It was nice to relive some of the feelings through songs like this.
@sham Bolic I was the same, I remember it was summer, listening to this song, cramming all nighters for my uni finals. A whole other time and energy and mindset just flashed back when I played this...I am equally as jaded and quite a lot bitter now. This was one of those times where you almost forget for an instant...just for an instant

Since yesterday I’ve been wanting to listen to some Delays tunes… Discovered them back in 2003/4 and have purchased both their first albums on CD back in the day. Also thought about where the band is currently… Sad to learn of Greg’s passing almost two years ago. R.I.P to Greg and strength to family & friends. Your music will live on.

This song passed me by as a kid in 2004. I finally heard it for the first time last year when listening to a show on BBC Radio 2 called Pick Of The Pops which was playing songs that were in the charts that week in 2004. I thought it was a brilliant song. This was just a few months before Greg's passing. RIP.

First heard this on the show teachers, and just couldn't stop listening to it afterwards. Was listening to it the first time I went to Yorkshire, and the it just suited the whole vibe of the countryside ambience and northen skylines

First time I saw them was the IOW festival 2004 after The Who Bowie third best act of the weekend fantastic. Got Feded Seaside Glamour the Monday afternoon. Followed them ever since. One of the best live acts I've ever seen.
Should've been one of the biggest indie bands in the world. They're certainly one of the best.

Heartbreaking... Saddest part of it all is that this album got me through my father's death from stupid fucking cancer. Just from this bitter irony I know Greg is in a better place, the best of us get to leave this shit hole. Will always be remembered by us who are left behind.
This is about all I know from the delays...I tend to sort of associate them in the same breath with Keane, although maybe I'm doing them a dis-service thinking that...In remember this song being on all the time for a period back in the day...another thing I associate it with is coming back later from the pub and that very special period between 3 and 5am that only belong to the monged...this song also some what reminds me in parts of the New radicals song, get what you give...

Was too young to see them but I bought Faded Seaside Glamour for £2 from WHSmith. I liked them then but I think this has aged a lot better than a lot of the stuff from around then.
