    I truly resonate with the gentleman that lost his jacket at a party. About 5-6 years ago, I bought a Levi's Chambray Trucker... Loved it! One day I was at my parent's house and "found" one of my Dad's old LEVI'S jackets. It was a Chambray as well. Made me appreciate mine even more. It had to be from the 70's. My Dad has worn Levi's all my life, and probably his too. I lost my jacket. I hoped it would pop up, but it still hasn't.

      Alex Cruz it is common for denim heads to not wash their denim for long periods of time. If he wore the jacket every day for 5 years or at least even 70% of the time it would definitely have a strong odor to it especially with that sherpa lining.

    My favorite part of this video is the lady saying how happy she is at her job and that she is not living paycheck to paycheck. I was feeling sorry for her at the beginning for living in the Blocks and being an African American woman in NYC I'd assume she's poor. But she is richer than me because even though I have a white collar job, I do live paycheck to paycheck and right now I'm not a happy person. These people are every-day heroes to look up to.

    Levi's, you gotta get back to your roots!

    • @ryanburbridge
      @ryanburbridge 6 років тому +2

      Nick Kestler it’s not a string of bad luck it a decision to lower quality and pump out a cheap product. They may have some high quality stuff but for the most part they stand on their epic history and do nothing to improve their product. They will always have a place but i doubt they will return to their roots of making the best product. Those times are gone for good. And even if they did majority of people don’t care anymore anyways

    • @andy86i
      @andy86i 4 роки тому +1

      Now if you want quality from Levi’s you need to go to Levis Vintage Clothing and get some proper selvedge jeans. They are made properly.

      sounds like you’ve been getting the Macy’s Levi’s. You have to get the premiums or higher.

    • @wilsjane
      @wilsjane 4 роки тому +2

      @@andy86i Selvedge denim is really quite a joke, because few people understand the reason for it's demise.
      ALL woven fabrics have a selvedge at the edge, it was simply retained on the outer leg seam to reduce the carpet stitching.
      THEN,
      Due to the rise in the popularity of denim in the 70's the mills installed wider looms, resulting in their not being enough selvedge to make all the jeans.
      Flared leg jeans cannot use the selvedge, due to the curve on the outside leg.
      Multi thickness cutting cannot keep the layers in sufficient register to cut to the edge, so the selvedge ends up in the bin.
      It is only the companies who now produce jeans from top quality denim in low quantity, who now retain the selvedge for all the same reasons that Levi's did 40 years ago.
      The significance of the colored strand in the selvedge is another urban legend. Originally it was simply to identify the weight of the fabric. Red 14 ounce, Green 12 ounce.
      Marketing companies have made such fools of the public over the years.
