- A few months ago, Tim and I went on a short bikepacking trip in the Green Swamp here in Florida. I had major technical issues including no audio on most of my clips. This is what I was able to salvage.
Looks like a great trip! Thanks for the shout out! Lol
Haha!
Good stuff!
So cool, I have to get out of Pinellas more often! Really nice video, editing, and spoon carving!
Thanks man! I took a little break from filming and posting to YT, still went on a few trips. I also took a little break on carving but it looks like I'm back at it.
Would be very cool to sit around a camp and do some carving with you!
That would be cool! I spent Thanksgiving camping at Fort Desoto but I haven't done any real (primitive) camping in a long time.@@tampajimmie11
Nice. Is that a Z-Packs tent? I joke a lot about the "bushcraft" moniker, but Florida (in my humble opinion) definitely qualifies as "bush". I'd imagine the tools & techniques that the Aussies use would fly in Florida. I lived out there for a couple of years. It's single track heaven. Always an adventure.
You riding a Marlin? I used to think the stem bags were dumb until I rode some single track with my bottles in their cages on my gravel bike and they kept falling out because I wasn't using a hydration pack. Now I got two stem bags up front. 😂
Yep. It's a zpacks plex solo. I use that when weight/bulk really matter.
I'm riding a Marlin 6 that I bought used. It was one of those deals that I couldn't turn down. I know you know how that goes.
I go back and forth on if locally we should use the term bushcraft or woodcraft. We are definitely a mini Australia here, but we are still in the lower 48. And our FB group caters to new people who are more likely to search bushcraft over woodcraft.
Looks like a nice place for a ride. Umm, cutting meat on a table with bird droppings? It may be just me, but I think I would have placed it on something when cutting the meat.
Is that a tarp tent? Not sure if my old man beach cruiser could make it out there lol. Looks so much easier than humping a bunch a gear out there on your back.
The tent is a zpacks. Your beach cruiser would be fine on the gravel trails. The unmarked overgrown trails we explored was definitely challenging on my mountain bike.
Fuzzy navel tea … cool impression of Shaun ..
