And it is changing. Mexico + Vietnam are taking over China's role as "The world's factory". China has a growing middle class who don't want to work in sweat shops + products manufactured in Mexico/Vietnam are not only cheaper than products manufactured in China, they're also typically higher quality.
That would require less profit for the global elites and unfortunately skilled labor with a living wage

Our International trade with other countries rose over 26% respectively, they realize we aren't as dependent as they would like.
The US can easily supply itself with food, fresh water, oil, gas, coal, and other important resources like minerals, timber, etc. In fact, the US can comfortably support a population of a billion people while China struggles to do so. It's why China will eventually need to expand northward and across the nearby sea. If America was smart they'd stop letting other countries abuse these precious natural resources.

The interceptor missiles used by the picket ships, do not exist in the quantities required for a full scale conflict and the time to build and supply replacements is unreasonable, in a conflict situation.

I am an American, and I view this conflict as a sheer, complex calamity and a horrendous situation. In my opinion, problems lie in BOTH sides; both the USA and China have their own problems and both have abundant sources and figures of deep corruption, financial and moral corruption. The US government has people in it who are awful people and are committing horrible, immoral acts upon innocent people in foreign countries. But we also cannot ignore the fact that China is doing the EXACT SAME THING. And we here have our own agenda too, but unfortunately, enough of our leaders have been corrupted by the greedy and insatiable lust for profit, and for political and global power. As a democracy and in our government, we must prevent and stop these intrusive forces from harming the American people and are harming the progression towards peace/world peace. That is the fact of the matter. But make no mistake about it, both Republicans AND democrats are at fault here for this. I understand that the US wants to weaken Russia, and that Putins aggressive and horrible actions are inflicting violence and chaos onto innocent people, but we as a nation have GOT TO get real about this shit, and we have to work out negotiations with our adversaries in order to END THE WAR in Ukraine. This event has connection with China as well, because now one of our best, most closest trading partners (AKA China), is now supporting Putin and his offensive against Ukraine. Yes, I know FULL WELL how both ideologically opposed the US & Russia+China are together. But we BOTH, GENUINELY have to sit down, discuss the situation, make compromises, and strive for peace, no matter HOW MUCH we are enemies with each other. I love my country, in a way, deep down, I do. But I must also acknowledge that we have had our faults and we have created problems in the past. But instead of wallowing and groveling- focusing on the past, criticizing one another, censoring the dissent of individuals who speak out, engaging in such violent and aggressive ideological battles both domestically AND with others globally- we must stop, and approach these issues with common, rational sense and focused on achieving peace and resolving issues; focusing on our past and all of this does us no good, because it does not fix the problems that we experience in the present day, and it does not help us to improve and strive towards a better future. Because, despite everything that's happened, I know that our country and our leaders CAN and SHOULD do better in this regard. I know it is possible, and believe me, many other Americans definitely strongly feel as though this is possible too!! We must acknowledge our mistakes, and do our best to fix them, just like our enemies have an obligation to be doing the same thing, and nothing less. We have to stop cozying up to money-hungry and exploitative forces, and instead- hold them accountable for their actions. We can successfully erode and weaken China and Russia, but we must not damage or inflict death, harm, or destruction upon the innocent civilians and citizens of those countries. They told me they thought we would be at war with China back in 2016. We have raised the stakes militarily consistently since then. They have some right to defend themselves by "securing" their border in the South China Sea. Again, imagine if China was doing the same to us. Imagine they were building military bases in Mexico and Canada while their submarines patrol the golf of Mexico and Panama Canal. All the while, courting Puerto Rico to join the communist party and persuading them to cut off critical resources to the US mainland.

The US is antagonizing and raising tensions, building up massive naval and military power across the Chinese coastline. The US has imposed tariffs on Chinese goods. They have imposed strict international sanctions on China's semiconductor industry, which relies on Taiwan ( a disputed territory). Imagine what would happen if China was trying to get Puerto Rico and our south American neighbors to join the communist party while amassing a naval fleet along our coastlines and trade routes.
I m not sure is it America or China is facing the economic issues. All economist is estimating China will grow its GPD to at least 5% while America is less than 1%. Furthermore America is facing its debt problems and dollar confidence in the world. Every country is now dumping dollars.
