  • He was credited with being among the few people who had former president Moi's ear. He survived the 1998 Nairobi bomb blast and during his tenure as Secretary General of KANU he was very vocal on party matters. He is remembered for coining the phrase "Kasarani in Kiserian" after he was allegedly hounded out of office. So ...just what keeps JJ busy? Citizen TV's Tom Mboya caught up with him at his home in Kitusuru.
