Good morning Taylor from a cool morning in Wisconsin. If they gave awards for the best farm videos yours would win hands down. No other video is as detailed and informative as yours. And you do not talk too much. Keep smiling, stay positive, and keep farming. 🚜🐄😉
Hi 👋🏽 Taylor and Brent just finished watching awesome video l love you talking all time because you’re explaining the work you and Brent do plus you’re awesome young gal hard worker and as always you and Brent be safe 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Brent is right, new nuts & bolts are awesome. They make the job go little smoother. Whatever hit Brent in the ear was big, it showed up on the video, wasps very nasty. Thanks for the video
Hi Taylor, getting through the hole haying season with out a break down is tuff, just wanted to say thank you for the video always looking forward to seeing the next one
You’d think it’d be too hot in that rake tube for wasps but I’ve seen em in our tube gates this summer and it’s been over 90 degrees here. Love the videos and my wife is a fan!
Hi from Germany.Love to watch your videos,Brings me back to how I startet my milkingcareer about 45 years ago .Always nice to see young people who love to do what I lived for. Here's a tip: why don't you make your own t-shirt/caps or hoodies with "Keep it real-keep Farming"?Greetings Frits
Your camera placement and work on the Grass cutting was excellent. The one underneath was really cool and I always enjoy the one topside out on the machine. Sorry for the breakdown ,,crap happens and then you need a manure spreader. LoL , and of course I love summer you in tank tops and shorts. 🎉
Good day Taylor and Brent, aside from the mower issues it looks like that's going to be some nice tender munchables for the cows! This too shall pass and it won't be long you'll be back out on the 10 and you probably already are
Morning Taylor wrenching on equipment is most certainly a daily thing to do on a farm even if it's just checking things checking for loose or missing bolts will save you a lot of grief in the long run ,good show thank you
Hi Taylor thanks for another awesome video. Man that wasp sure didn't like Brent they were really angry 😳. Brent is sure quick on his feet he was like Usain Bolt .Put your boots on when you next go to the rake don't want a wasp stinging your foot. Thanks for sharing the additional information with us really appreciate it. That 1066 really does make you smile when you hear it. Hope the repair to the mower is a easy fix. Thanks again take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
Wow 70 head cattle plus hay raking huge shout out to you and Brent for handling all that work. I have 100 head of cattle plus 2000 acres of crops and hay on our farm but there is 8 of us to do the work. haha Being farmer is also being part mechanic too. God bless and take care!
LOL at 8:25 I can relate to summer bugs. I was mowing the lawn that all of a sudden the ground yellowjackets came up and attacked my mower. I must have run over a nest. None stung me the mower was loud and vibrating with engine pules so they were after it. I left it and ran. LOL.
Patty just didn't know you were talking to her, lol. Hope the hay cutter is an easy fix and doesn't cost much. Soon the cooler weather we are having should get to you guys in Maine. Stay safe and healthy Tay. Congratulations on 27.8K subs.
Hi Taylor, I was just watching when you hooked up that stretch tongue on your bale trailer, with those bare feet. Was thinking hope that doesn't fall on those toes. Good luck with the bees. Take care!!!! S. Ia.
We do enjoy your videos. Brent reminds me of a lot of the family farmers in our area. Also am very pleased to see "old iron" still in use, as all of our tractors (and most equipment) are old enough to vote. Watching the mowing... one thing to think about... we used to make corners to the left like in the video (we have always done it that way for 60 years... why change) until we tried turning to the right and missing a bit in the corner as the haybine cuts across. It feels REALLY odd to leave that little bit in the corner, but as we finish the field we run down the corners and clean up what was missed. This little change has reduced our time in the field significantly since we are always cutting and not raising the haybine up to make the sweeping turns. Pointed turns are still done the standard way. We put up about 1500 4x5 each year and keeping the dicsc-bine on the ground and cutting all the time is surprisingly effective. (This doesn't work with a sycle-bine but works fantastic with a disc-bine.) Keep up the videos, they are great.
I feel sorry for Brent getting stung but I’m going to have get me some popcorn when I start watching this channel. lol. I love this channel thanks for sharing
Taylor just a little info for you John Deere colors are Green for Farm Equiptment and Yellow is for Contstruction equiptment I don’t know if you knew that but you never know what was in the minds of John Deere ❤😊
Yeah the best laid plans for sure Taylor! I really love the sound of that tractor! I could listen to it all day! Hope it’s just a belt or something Simple on the mower. Really enjoy your videos while working in a manufacturing plant in Florida. It was 101 today but we fly up Monday to look for land and can’t wait to see the state and some cooler temps/humidity.
Hey Taylor, just wanna say I have been watching your channel about a year now, you always have great videos when you post them, please keep it up!!! I hope you and Brent the best of luck, i someday wish to meet you both !!!
Good afternoon Miss Taylor and Brent. Did you get your haybine fixed On the GEHL discbines that we have had on the farm they all had a shear bolt on the drive shaft that ran from the top of machine down to the number 1 turtle The on that is on the right hand side if looking in from the tractor end. On ours you had a 2 piece shield that covers that shaft so you need to remove that first. There were actually 2 U joints under the shield that both needed to be greased actually we had one that the spines on the shaft wore smooth so the cutter bar would not move but the crimp rolls would still turn Ours actually had the same type shaft on the turtle on the left hand side
Hi Taylor, hopefully the mower will be both an eady and cheap fix. Unfortunately that doesn't work out too often. It looks to me like something ( a gear or shaft maybe) in that gearbox has failed. I hope I'm wrong and it is something simple. 30:54 As always, a pleasure to ride along with you while you work. Take care.
Tay, I know you really llke running the IH. Not to be picky as I'm not with the old faded tractors we've had around here for years. If you have some old paint around maybe red or white or maybe black I'd just take a brush and paint the inside of that sun shade over the operators platform. It would be a good background when your're taking videors of you on the seat with the cover in the background. I wouldn't use any expensive paint and a brush just to touch up the color. I've painted old tractors with a brush so they look good at a distance. These were older tractors. All I cared about was how they looked better at a distance.
Just cruising along and then everything goes to S**T. That was my bosses philosophy. Glad you got rid of the wasps. I hope whatever is wrong with the mower is solved quickly and cheaply. Take care and be sure to have a little fun every day, jack
Hi Taylor, WOW , your channel is expanding fast. Great news to all who watch. Ive said it before but without sounding repetitive.... You and Brent are the dream team lol. You work AS a proper team/ partnership should do. Getting the job done. Working together, with a light hearted, friendly and laid back attitude. No wonder you both enjoy it ( considering its a job) lol🤣🤣🤣 You have created a unique channel. Love it, keep posting I'll keep watching and commenting. You two , take care , stay safe Thanks Mark UK
Good day Taylor always enjoy the happiness you show when your on the tractor but as we all no breakdowns happen have a great day stay safe until the next video take care
Who would ever think a wasp nest inside a metal pipe? What surprise and to get stung! Lots of wasp killer thank you will have to do. Farm machinery always wait for the chance to break down at the most unlikely times and activity. Grounding yourself with bare feet is a really good idea for health . Always nice video and was a great way to start your day.
Hola. .Que avispas locas!! Espero que puedan resolver rápido la rotura de la cortadora..para poder continuar el trabajo y hacer los rollos.. Después contanos que le pasó.. Saludos 👋
Good evening Taylor I try to watch all of your videos. I was wondering how the corn is doing you guys planted. I farm for a while but poor milk prices and 80 head of cattle in ny but I enjoy your videos be safe
10:34 I had a John Deere rake just like that one,I built a dollie wheel to go on the front. It made a completely different rake out of it,easy to turn and followed the ground better.Brake cleaner works good for wasp.
TAYLOR!!🙋♂️🙋♂️🙋♂️, hey. Are you a Sagittarius 🤔🤔🤔 cause as you know my chapter long comments I like to talk too😁🤭🤭🤭😐🤔🤫. Me and Grand daughter are your biggest fans in Northeast Arkansas👍👍. Seriously thank you for all the great videos youngin, it means a lot you take time to share the things I love... farming👍🙋♂️🥰🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🐄🚜
Hey T , I love the vids because they are straight forward and simple. using old machines to do the same work. no going to the bank and getting in debt. Make do and mend . Please please do not walk about without solid footwear. If you cut your foot in all that cow muck you are liable to get some very nasty disease . the cows and Brent can't be without you for months off ill. You might even have to be put down. wear boots !!!
Tay, I just found you yesterday, on my birthday, and gifted myself by subscribing to your channel. I grew up farming in western Pennsylvania and until a few years ago I was raising Saddlebred horses in Virginia. As you were washing the round baler you expressed how much enjoyment it gave you. Me too. I loved to keep my tractors and farm equipment clean and maintained. It gives me great pleasure to ride along with you on every day chores. Keep doing what you love and letting me tag along.
Another interesting and informative Video Taylor and Brent. Always a pleasure to watch your videos and how life is in upper Maine. A lot don’t know this but John Deere was born in Vermont. Keep safe
GoodMorning Tay and Brent know the feeling equipment break downs with good weather and hornets , But when you can sit on a tractor and look out over the land it is well worth it.
I have put finish on log homes mainly in Alaska, but pretty much all over the country, I was doing one in Indiana and a hornet I saw came at me from 25' away, hit me twice above the eye, in 3 hours I looked like the elephant man, had never affected me before but that one was a S O B!!!!!!
Good morning Taylor and Brent I have just recently started watching your channel I am not a farmer but I fix a lot of equipment and I really enjoy your content. You never need to apologize for any of your content it is always appreciated and enjoyed!!!!!! You are a breath of fresh air in a world of junk videos Thank you so much for sharing your real life. JB. Ps if you have a weed burner torch it is great medicine for bees hiding in equipment frames I have had too many battles with them over the years
Hi Taylor. As always great video. I'm sorry for Brent that he was stung by a wasp, I know how much a sting from it hurts, I usually use diesel fuel against them, it is very effective to delete them. I'll see you next time.

Something you could also try is duck tape the holes except for one then spray wasp spray or brake cleaner in the last hole then Quickly tape that hole closed to and go back to work lol. Love watching your videos and nice to see you work on the farm but I feel bad you don’t have a day or two off a week.
Hello Taylor sounds like a costly repair but i hope its just a belt. During the video could hear something was a miss. Enjoyed your video have a great day.
Good afternoon sweetheart glad to see you’re getting some hay done again. Yes them rubber rake teeth suck. Sucks another breakdown. I hope it’s something simple. Maybe it’s a broken shaft on the top of that tower or maybe some kind of a shear pin or something hopefully simple. Hope all is well with you. Talk to you sometime soon.🤗hopefully start second cutting next week after all this rain goes through the next couple days from the hurricane that came up through we will see.😊

Lots of yellow in John Deere farm equipment. A JD Chopper will be green but all the heads are yellow .
Another wonderful video from the barefoot farm girl the best way to go !
Dawn dish detergent and water sprayed on them, low cost wasp control and very effective!
I enjoy your videos love hearing you talk

Have a great day and God Bless to you and Brent. Hope it is a minor thing on your cutter.
Good Afternoon Tay. Gotta love the perks of farming Repairs that is. Seems like equipment lives to break at the most inconvenient times

I think there's a little short drive shaft that runs down to the cutter bar. It's been a while since I've worked on one of those mowers.

Good Afternoon Taylor,Ed from Vermont
Hi Taylor. As always great video. I'm sorry for Brent that he was stung by a wasp, I know how much a sting from it hurts, I usually use diesel fuel against them, it is very effective to delete them. I'll see you next time.

hi taylor im praying you get some work boots. i have broken my feet at least 4 ;times working on equipment. you one tuff cookie.
Out here in Texas, we stock up on wasp blaster each summer, as these little buggers are everywhere in summer. :-)
A can of aerisol based wasp spray with a thin red tube at the nozzle allows one to aim effectively at wasps.
Great Video Taylor,, Watch out for them wasp.
I use starting fluid or brake cleaner for bee's. Thanks for your videos.
Good afternoon, from Nova Scotia. It is a beautiful day here in the central part of the Province.😀
I live in GA so I know a little bit about heat and humidity. Last week I was in Maine and there were a few days where the afternoon conditions felt like the those in the South.
On the new Holland rakes the clip and tooth goes on the front of the bar, there is a groove for the tooth to hold it straight.
barefoot working on the rake. Good on ya!!
TIM from Canada, you should have mixed a little diesel fuel in that mixture.. with some soap. Little bit of kerosene…
Sometimes when you have wasps chasing you or bees, you just can’t have always appropriate language specially, when you have things that are gonna sting you
That was a cool and cheap way to reseed your hay fields.
Nice video Taylor
I like that extending hitch. Be very careful around the wasps.
Happy yall escaped the bad storms and that the weather seems to be somewhat milder! I hate wasps!! I use CRC Brakeen on them...kills them almost instantly!! Bummer about the mower breaking down! Hopefully, it's something simple! Stay safe and 'sting free'!!
Barefoot around machinery ? Yikes - love the your vids
Brent ain't playing with the "spray"
Good afternoon sweetheart glad to see you’re getting some hay done again. Yes them rubber rake teeth suck. Sucks another breakdown. I hope it’s something simple. Maybe it’s a broken shaft on the top of that tower or maybe some kind of a shear pin or something hopefully simple. Hope all is well with you. Talk to you sometime soon.🤗hopefully start second cutting next week after all this rain goes through the next couple days from the hurricane that came up through we will see.😊
Your lovely hun. Keep up the good work ❤ xx
