Antique Rusty Kerosene Lamp Restoration

- In this video, I want to show the restoration of an old rusty kerosene lamp. This lamp was bought by me as a lamp of the German army of the period of the Second World War. This lamp was produced in 1941. There are markings on the lamp that correspond to the manufacturer of the gas mask filter for the Wehrmacht soldiers. Perhaps, this lamp was made in this factory. In any case, this is a very interesting lamp. This lamp was repainted several times, and I could not figure out what color it was original. I decided to paint it in the standard color of the Wehrmacht - Feldgrau.

Incredible that an improvised lamp survived, and you have it working again. Terrific!
Well done restoration. I don't think this was made in a factory. It looks more like trench art, they used their gas mask filters to produce things they really needed. The sand and the paper could tell you where exactly this lamp was made it looks like sand from the shores of the north sea.
Simple, yet effective bit of kit. Nice restoration.
It’s amazing to see all these things come back to life.😊👍🏻
Awesome job on this little lamp!
Great job, nice result. But let me give you an advise: your paint job will be better when you spray serveral thin layers instead of one to try cover up the entire surface in one go. Your way, you run a high risk of your paint starting to run.
The putty looks like smooth peanut butter
Very nice!
Genial tu trabajo, saludos de un Uruguayo 🇺🇾 en Chile 🇨🇱👍🔥⚔️

Hello. I haven’t seen it yet but I know it will be good
I think the thing where PEE41 or something like this is writen on is Gasmaskfilter. Because on my original One there is this too
Its a filter for german horses gas mask.
Looks like trench art the big piece on the top of it looks like a filter and the base idk what that is it could be trench art ya never know
Very nice.
Hmm must’ve come from the beaches at Normandy with all that sand in it
My family has one that looks like that
Super Leistung
Well I am surprised that you got it back to life
nice job, what was the color you used for the final paint? is it a RAL shade? cheers
where do you get the things you restore because I would really want o restore some ww2 stuff too!

Wow 💯
I'm glad you liked it.
@@wwiituberestoration1011 I really love it 👏thanks for sharing this 💯
Superbe.
What wheel u are using in your bench grinder?
what was the sae shells and paper for? balast?
Tell me if i am wrong, but isnt this part of a gasmask-filter?
No, it's definitely not a gas mask filter case.
Looks like you may have more epoxy putty on this one then actual metal. But looks nice anyway. Thumbs Up!
Oh no,The Reds are Coming!
Me watching this
What is that 😑
Everyone else watching this
Oh what a beautiful piece of trench art😃
Restoration ASMR.. who knew 🤷🏻♂️
My guess is this was not made in a factory. Using stones, paper and seashells doesn't feel very "German". It could possibly be some trench art?

I like the end result, but you need to improve your putty applying skills. also where did you find the glass element? they don't come by easily anymore.

Jew, Russia. The work is not accurate. Too many cut corners.
