@@SA-qh7pc Well, who stopped Army Chief to meet SE officials before. The SE showed remarkable positive result once the smuggling especially dollar smuggling was checked. Remember, there was a time when a barking *** used to say, repeatedly, that Pak is going to default. Once, that *** was caged, the SE started recovering. Letter to IMF، western pressure, unwillingness of IMF to certify our credibility and politics of agitation could not stop this momentum. We have suffered almost 4 years of stand still in business activities, now we can see improvement along with stable dollar, decreasing inflation, decreasing bank mark up and better international relations. All these factors compel SE to go high. Stock Market is not a Soldier who is bound to obey Army Chief, its the efforts of Govt, Private Sector and Law Enforcement Agencies. However, there is a Cult here in Pak who is bound to see negativity in almost everything in which their Handsome Cult God is not present or creditted.
State Bank imposed rules on bank savings, while constantly lowering policy rate, therefore that stashed money is exiting especially from Islamic bank accounts and entering into stock markets. Also, mkt is pushed up because of on the orders of rulers. While everything is same in the country except getting more loans and issuing treasury bonds, printing money, etc. GOVT spending is still more than its revenue. Has GDP gone up? NO. Has companies made higher than normal profit? Only few. Most shares are at the same level as they were before when the index was at 65K. Only some scrips are up which are backed by the govt and its rulers, oredering institutions to pump up the mtk, FIPI has been net seller while LIPI was the buyer for last many months. About 800 milllion dollars were expatriated in few months. Shabbar Zaidi sahib is right but afraid to say about the game.

There is so much Hype that stock market is doing this and that , we need to understand what stock market actually is. Its just a place for business to raise capital and after initial raise whatever happens to stock plays no part in companies development it only helps companies perception. Also FDI are like slow poisoning to any economy so if peolle think foreign people investing in stcoks will brink money in country , wrong again thsi money does not go into any development but into the pockets of just a few individual economy thrives on development not of raising stocks . I do believe a healthy economy will have a healthy stock market but that is not true the other way. It is a dificult topic actually we cant just discuss it here in one comment .

Just mentioned some bookish things which eveybody with a little knowledge already know. the fact is the sentiment is possitive people are expecting that economy may expand and businesses will flourish in near furture. People are putting thier money in stocks. The only worrying thing, if the expected growth did not happen in real terms i.e Listed companies EBITA, Divident payout etc did not happen in medium term there is risk of collapse.
