I haven't finished this video completely, but just want to say I love these long conversations. I am very happy you make the effort. You have a good thing going!
I wish I had more time to watch these chats. I appreciate your enthusiasm for the materials you're discussing. This weekend I'll try to finish The Blade Itself. I was delighted to hit a stretch in the novel where some horror type stuff popped up. Keep having fun with books and I'll do the same.
I never manage to catch it live, but Chatting WIth Nutts is my favorite. Also, Ebooks are even as good if not better in the sun. Kindle e-ink display for the win!
Love this podcast (if it's even a podcast - I'm not sure)! I can almost never make them live but I might have to throw some time in my calendar for this Erickson chat.
Great chat sorry I missed it live! You mentioned not liking battle done poorly-I’m curious how you feel about the sword form fights in Wheel of Time, maybe my least favorite part of the series. Let’s make these scenes impossible to imagine!
Malazan BoTF hasn't ruined Fantasy for me, i don't think it ever could, if anything its enhanced it, but it is the biggest Fantasy milestone I wanted to tackle since I got back into reading.
Agreed. I was in my reread when I found Iskar's channel and the discussions have been very illuminating. I do read differently picking up on the tricks authors use and figuring out why some work for me and some don't. But for some strange reason my inner monologue speaks in an Irish brogue....
Didn't have the time to stay for the whole, nearly 3 hours (!!!), will have to listen while doing my yard work. As an aside, shouldn't it be a *pair* of acorns in the logo? (If there was a wrestling accident, you have my sympathy 🤣😢🤣)
I'd argue the depth of Bakker's world is more immersive than that of Malazan - Malazan is essentially an extremely wide plain, but it's rather shallow if you take a segment of that.
Such an awesome interview. Love Johanna! We’re going to get you to Phoenix Jimmy. We’ll take a brewery tour and bs about books. 😎
Sounds fantastic mate
@@thefantasynuttwork you could do a traveling road show. Call it “Nutts on the Road.” That’s a freebie. 😂

Thank you so much 😄
Thoroughly enjoyed this! Now I need to watch the rest in this series as I’m newly subbed 😁😁
Glad you enjoyed it! There's plenty of hours to listen to, I tend to be long winded 😅
@@thefantasynuttwork the longer the better 👍🏻

Love Joe Abercrombie! Thanks for the kind words Curt, happy reading.

Thank you, would love to see you there live!
I missed this! I think I like the challenge of collecting, it feels good finding the books, especially the hard to get.
Yes same here haha

Hey thanks!!
Tbh there's not much from the WoT I look upon with great fondness. The sword form fights are among the worst things for me lol
@@thefantasynuttwork I'm glad I ain't the only one
I really enjoyed the conversation I will start on reapers gale next week I'm almost done with the firekeeper daughter I really enjoyed it
Awesome!

Hahahah
Bakker needs more videos and recognition. Its a damn shame
I agree
You say the sweetest things 😘
It's a talent of mine
As my house is a testament too, yes, yes, you can have too many books.
Hahaha so many 🤣
E-reader all the way y’all!
It's true 😄
reading pon quotes to get people to read pon. taking the shortest way?
Doing the best I can 🤣
Damn near made me spit out my morning coffee with that "don't read the footnotes" comment.
That was for you 😂
Cats should always be indoor cats.
Agreed
ASOIAF book 4 and 5 are meh in the first read but at reread they´re 5 stars imo
:D
Attack on Titan is one of the cases where the Anime is preferable to the manga. It doesn't have the best art
Good to know!
@@thefantasynuttwork Just take a look at the art and see if you vibe with it, though ;)

Esmenet sucks though :gigachad:
Amazing character, but she sucks.

NO! Dance with Dragons is bad!
Yes! Switching between books on your TBR is massively helpful. You also exercise your multitasking!
