For me We butter the bread with butter are masters of breakdowns. If you don't like their newer stuff like 20km/h check out their older stuff it more deathcore then metalcore, but they have sickest breakdowns I've ever heard...
Had the honor of seeing these guys on their first USA tour back in 06! Then they stayed at our apt after the show! Winston was the homie who gave me confidence to get some ink done! Parkway forever!
The very first song I heard from PWD. One thing that always made me love PWD more is the heart they put into their music. There has always been something special about them that I can't really put my finger on to what makes them unique in eyes and ears? These guys inspire me so much! Every time I listen to them, they never, ever, get old for me. A lot of other bands I listen to kinda fade out after a while, but PWD have never been a phase band whatsoever. Their breakdowns, melodies, solos, Winston's vocals... They are the kings of metalcore! I have a feeling I will stick with this band as I grow older, moshing in my rocking chair! Thank you PWD!
Thomas Lazenby the first one I listened to was Dark Days which I still love, that breakdown at 2:51 though is INSANE! Are you still rocking out to these guys?
Listening to their albums in the order they were released really makes you realize how great and diverse PwD actually are. As bands try too hard to try and change to create new material which is "different", Parkway nail it naturally. These guys are such an inspiration to the metal genre and I can't think of a band with guys as genuine as these. Actually can't wait to to see them in December, and remember kids . There's blood in the Water!
entertainet how much people wonder that Parkway Drive sounds so aggressive on they're "new album" wich will only be an re-release from Don't Close Your Eyes with the first cover on it. But no judge not all can know.
Parkway Drive - Boneyards Lyrics These are the sentiments of a cold-blooded cynic So believe me when I say I would love nothing more Than for everything to end unpleasantly Concrete shoes, rising tides, grey skies, let none survive, don't... Don't say I didn't warn you I would rather see your face in hell Than speak another word of this perfect world I would rather see your face in hell Than speak another word of this perfect world Of this perfect world Oh, to be buried beneath the waves A sailor's grave, it's all I crave Bury me, bury me five thousand fathoms deep And leave my bones for the depths The sharpest teeth await our skin The sharpest teeth await Bloodlust swarms upon our worthless existence, go The devil's teeth (the devil's teeth) The devil's teeth beneath our skin Whispering of silent vengeance Blood debts remain unpaid Now every breath of life has been betrayed Every ideal has rusted through Nothing we hold brings solace (feed us to the sharks) So let nothing remain Feed us to the sea To be buried beneath the waves A sailor's grave, it's all I crave Bury me, bury me five thousand fathoms deep And leave my bones for the depths There's blood in the water (sinking, always sinking) There's blood in the water (sinking, always sinking) There's blood in the water I would rather see your face in hell Than speak another word of this perfect fucking world
I discovered this band 2 weeks ago, but only now have I had time to start listening to their entire discography. I'm listening to this album for the 2nd time and I can only think of one thing: masterpiece. Greetings from Portugal 🟢🟢🟡🟡🔴🔴🤘🤘
I was born between 400BC and 350BC and whenever I hear this song it reminds me of my lover Patroclas, we were childhood friends who grew to be lovers, as was tradition at the time. We used to blast this on 11 as we sailed to battle. My bravest men would call out in sorrow and lust for those they had lost in past sorties.
I'm mainly into Hip Hop. My friends and my brother listen to this kind of music. But holy shit, this stuff is so intense. My brother showed me this song a while back and i loved it.
I struggle very hard to find another artist on their level. The attitude, the splendid quality of the instrumentals, and the vocals. I definitely recommend Five Months if you are interested in Parkway Drive
I feel like this song describes the fear of the unknown waters that people had during the medieval times when they had to rely mostly on water transport. There were numerous sightings of mythical beasts such as Kraken, and huge serpents to destroy ships and eat the crew alive, during those times.
I think these guys have quite a few songs about sailor folklore in there earlier albums. Pretty fucking cool if you ask me. They should have kept it up. Would be awesome to see a metalcore band where there lyrics are about sailors, ships, and sea monsters.
I miss this so much, loved this band since around 2006/2007, seeing them grow from tiny bar concerts to filling out huge theatres in the UK, such a shame they've lost their way as of late. Hopefully they'll get back to form. Still say the don't close your eyes EP is their best release
I remember listening to parkway when I was 20. Now I'm 14
benjamin button pls
lmfao
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Their older stuff I can listen to front to back, IRA and after I cant
@@unbeWEAVERble Fully agree with You, 100% truth
Still the greatest breakdown of all time.
Nothing beats Suffocations breakdowns.

Doesn't matter when you started listening to Parkway Drive what matters is that they are in your Hearts now!
Still one of the best breakdowns ever made and it’s 2023. Anyone who knows a song thats as gnarly as this let me know. Always looking for new music!
For me We butter the bread with butter are masters of breakdowns. If you don't like their newer stuff like 20km/h check out their older stuff it more deathcore then metalcore, but they have sickest breakdowns I've ever heard...

Wrong. Pantera's Domination.
Jason Tank yes I agree, even though this breakdown is insane, nothing will beat Pantera Domination!
Nope it's the end of Casketing by Hester Prynne
Had the honor of seeing these guys on their first USA tour back in 06! Then they stayed at our apt after the show! Winston was the homie who gave me confidence to get some ink done! Parkway forever!
This is easily one of the best bands I've ever heard IMO

Thomas Lazenby Winston the vocalist screams on stage but with the bigest smile I have ever seen.
Thomas Lazenby the first one I listened to was Dark Days which I still love, that breakdown at 2:51 though is INSANE! Are you still rocking out to these guys?
Hell yeah man same lol
Heh. A rocking chair. I see what you did.
This comme t didn't age well. Their new track glitch......zero passion.....
Thinking back to their show in 2009 on a basketball court in Canberra, Australia. Still the most fun I've had at a gig
From childhood to adulthood, their music still makes me want to fight everything
Isn't it wonderful
they make me wanna go into battle or go on a quest (and i knowwww i can’t fight haha)
@@victoriataylor8778 That's what makes you a fighter
That riff from 1:13 to 1:44 is so good 🤟😁
It's just so rockin aye love the groove
such an iconic riff
100% agree, killer riff
The best parkway drive breakdown is in this song 😍 so good
It is pretty fuckin nuts love me a good breakdown

Oh yeah
Kate Godfrey the best breakdown *ever* is in this song
have you listened to the siren's song?
Ben hitting that drum at the "sinking" breakdown is still fucking epic 11 years later. Parkway Drive forever.
Still remember when i was 7 years old. My cousin though me to listen to metal. This is the first band that caught me into metal. Now im 15. :')
This song will never get old.. them feels

Also came back here after being disappointed from their second new song. :D
Still one of the most epic breakdowns ever :)

Agreed 👆👆
Idols and Anchors >>
2019 and still no better breakdowns!!!
18 visions tower of snakes ........

It's a great breakdown but not by a longshot. Hollow Planet exists
As I Lay Dying..
Breakdown of Sanity
subjectively its the best breakdown ever written
THERES BLOOD IN THE WATEEEEEEEER!!!!!.....
I think Parkway Drive are the best metalcore band. Anyone else agree?
ABR and Parkway Drive are the best.. but ABR is better to me :D their music is so beautiful.
I love ABR but Parkway Drive are just amazing.
I really like the Ghost Inside too.
The best metalcore bands are adept, breakdown of sanity, feed her to the sharks and parkway drive, imo.
I like all those bands but parkway are just phenomenal in every aspect.
Parkway Drive should definitely be crowned as the best metalcore band in history. If not them, then Confession or Bury Tomorrow.
Nothing better than aussie metal.
kiwi's metal?
I Killed The Prom Queen
Or Norwegian Black Metal!
Lol...
Aussie PRIDE you meen.!
The breakdown at the end of this song is ABSOLUTELY INSANE at any concert, seriously everyone who likes Parkway needs to experience its awesomness.
2019 anyone? this gem is timeless
CoreysWildLife 2020 and miss this old Parkway Drive era 😢
Iconic.

D'Ander McSullivan lmfao dude that is great, bear grylls on vocals, own on bass

Hey guys! Check it out! Wau!
I always crack the fuck up when someone relates a member of a band to a famous actor.
Randy Orton as the vocalist
Still my favorite Parkway Drive after all these years.
480p, awesome riffs, heaviest breakdown : greatest metalcore song
It's 2020 and this song still stand as one of the best of all time!!
this band is so well put together !
One of the best songs ever ... PERIOD
This song seriously makes me headbang in my car more than any other song while screaming with pure passion like the singer.
Adam D's production on KWAS and Horizons was so fucking perfect
Back when parkway was parkway
2:50 best breakdown on the history of metalcore XD
Absolutely

Parkway Drive - Boneyards
Lyrics
These are the sentiments of a cold-blooded cynic
So believe me when I say I would love nothing more
Than for everything to end unpleasantly
Concrete shoes, rising tides, grey skies, let none survive, don't...
Don't say I didn't warn you
I would rather see your face in hell
Than speak another word of this perfect world
I would rather see your face in hell
Than speak another word of this perfect world
Of this perfect world
Oh, to be buried beneath the waves
A sailor's grave, it's all I crave
Bury me, bury me five thousand fathoms deep
And leave my bones for the depths
The sharpest teeth await our skin
The sharpest teeth await
Bloodlust swarms upon our worthless existence, go
The devil's teeth (the devil's teeth)
The devil's teeth beneath our skin
Whispering of silent vengeance
Blood debts remain unpaid
Now every breath of life has been betrayed
Every ideal has rusted through
Nothing we hold brings solace (feed us to the sharks)
So let nothing remain
Feed us to the sea
To be buried beneath the waves
A sailor's grave, it's all I crave
Bury me, bury me five thousand fathoms deep
And leave my bones for the depths
There's blood in the water (sinking, always sinking)
There's blood in the water (sinking, always sinking)
There's blood in the water
I would rather see your face in hell
Than speak another word of this perfect fucking world
First band that got me into metalcore. And this isn't nostalgia talking, this shit still holds up today!

was about to comment the same thing, its fucking crazy!
What a break down!!!
How did they go from this to this shit they are releasing now. Well, at least I got to catch them a few times 2006-2010. This was peak Parkway for me
Easily one of the most underrated bands of All time
so Bear Grylls is Chief Scout AND Metalcore vocalist?
Łukasz Mroczynski pmsl!!

God I wish they still wrote music like this... RIP Parkway Drive
every time 2:50 rolls around the goosebumps get goin, the heart rate reaches 200 bpm, and i get this violent urge to disrespect my surroundings
TheDapperDanMan was that an A Day to Remember reference? They say that in one of their songs, DISRESPECT YOUR SURROUNDINGS! (breakdown)
After all this years moments from 0:25 till 0:51still gives me goosebumps 😁🤘
in my opinion, that part is better than the actual breakdown lmao
Can't believe that this song is already eight years old.
Had some crazy pits back in the days to this.
goosebumps every single time :D !!
