I may be late, but I made this for my Grandson for his birthday. His favorite dessert is cheesecake.
His response was, “That’s better than any cheesecake I’ve ever eaten!”
Thank you for teaching me how to make this!
    Proud Gram!
    Blessings!

👏💖turned out great. I made it on the day early in the morning (even when I did the crust cookie base twice, once baked -charred so I discarded it- and the second one just put it in the refri)and then it cooled down during the day and finally put it in the freezer for 15 mins before serving. Delicious, didn't crack, remained even, definitely beated the fear out of me from baking cheesecake

Just tried the cake myself, and it is absolutely delicious! The only issue I had is that although I followed the recipe exactly, my cake was only half the size of John's (I even used a 9-inch spring form pan). Apart from that, I would absolutely recommend this recipe 💖

Ok, with all of the cheesecakes I've made I have never added sugar in the crust. I wasn't trained to use it as Cheesecake, per my culinary teacher in the 80's, said you want it not to be overly sweet and adding sugar to the crust makes it more sweet than needed. I've stuck by that and I have folks asking and paying me for cheesecakes. That's MY chef's tip, especially if you are watching "sugar" content for added sugars. Just my thoughts.

Similar recipe to what I use, although mine is almost sugar free. I use mini springform pans so I use about 1/3rd of this recipe to make 2 cheesecakes. During the pandemic I made 2 every week. I have one doubt if you can help me on this !
Every time I make cheesecake my batter becomes runny … it’s not it’s not turn out well , but as you show every time the thick and creamy batter .
Is it coz of sugar as here in India we don’t get granulated sugar , we get crystallise sugar 😁😁. After adding the sugar and eggs batters become runny . So can we fix this ?
