For how much the outback costs in 2023 you woild figure these would be standard and the bungee added in parts bag just in case. Couple this with the part being out of stock and it just adds to frustration. Guess I'll complete my setup someday.
Great video! I removed the H-Rail from the front of my 2019 Hobie Outback and put in a bungie so I could put a thicker worm bag in that spot. UNFORTUNATELY, I didn’t really know what I was doing and cut the bungie that is the gear holder. NOW I realize it wraps around some pulleys (?) and pins. Is there any video showing how to re-string new bungies? What size bungie do I need? I want to do that since I’ll be selling my brand new Hobie Outback to buy the Mirage Drive 360! Thanks! Just installed on my 2020. They added a screw directly behind the big screw you'll have to take off to lift the rest of the bracket up enough in order to slide the new H rail brackets in. They don't quite fit together like a puzzle as this guy says in the video, but once the big screw is tightened down they sandwich together and it all fits in place. Easy install but seems like it's getting hard to find this upgrade kit?
By the way 2020-21 like mine has 2 extra screws next to 1/4 -20, no big deal but you must remove those 2. Could not get the bungie in the hole so carefully used # 1 Phillips to "drill " out hole just enough.
There is nothing better than going fishing on a hobie

Nice. WHEN WILL THEY BE AVAILABLE????????? I've had the kit on back order since December 2022 and I can't find them ANYWHERE.
When are you going to do something about these indefinite back order items?..
Great video!

Be nice if you can offer a bucket for the front hatch like the pa
Can you make a mount so we can install out AMA kit in the rear h rails
What if I already have the 21" bolt-on H-Rail on my Hobie Outback? Can I still install this H-Track and keep the H-Rail?

Hum ok
So how can I do to get this parts for my Outback 2019 please ?
Now I live in a french area.
Can anyone please tell me the correct, actual size of the screws that come in the hobie h rail 9" kit?
The 9" bolt-on kit uses a 1/4-20 X 1-1/4" PHMS
Is this product discontinued?
Just got mine, a lot of parts were out of stock due to factory shutdown because of covid
AVOID THE URGE to use a drill screw driver on ANY part of your kayak!! Use manual screwdriver or it will be strip city..Maybe leak-ville!
