Question: Does the process of Tyrosine into Eumelanin also protect from cancers originally? And what is the difference between Eumelanin and Pheomelanin because I see they both contain melanin?
One huge difference is the production of pigmentation ....in which the eumelanin pigmentation protects against UV radiation (where as pheomelanin , when impacted by radiation causes the DNA to mutate into cancerous cells) and once synthesized down the pheomelamin side of the flow chart, into a yellowish orange form that is extremely weak as it relates to its molecular structure and ability to shield the DNA from UV radiation , will result in DNA mutation.. thus forming cancerous cells....in laymen terms.....thats why white people require suntan oil.
If sun rays attack dna ....what about albinism and vitiligos they loss their melanin but still seems like their dna s not going destroyed at all as they still have offspring and so on so forth....
Fr, it makes zero sense, why would our biology thats death with the sun from the time the earth formed decide to deal with the sun by reducing our vit D absorbtion by increasing melanin and causing skin cancer, that's so biologically unfavorable, no species code would ever purposely do that. I think lipids (PUFA] being oxidised are the real issue and lipid perxoidation that causes these negative effects
@@doctorsavvy1318 Haha I don't think anyone can live IN the sun. The surface of the sun is about 10k degrees F and the core is even worse than that so I don't see how this point is necessary
what is the name of the special transport tryosine transporters?

Thats the difference....hope that helps.
Eumelanin is more copper-based. Pheomelanin is more sulfur-based.
Daryl Peek aside from the process.....thats the answer!
