    the relative amounts of eumelanin to pheomelanin will also be under genetic control. ie genetic control elements eg alternative promoters, copy number variation etc determine how much of all of the component precursors and enzymes are available.

    Eumelanin does not start from Tyrosine it starts with the Melanocortain 1 receptor MC1R gene and the Melanin stimulating Hormone.

      It depends on your skin colour. If you are Caucasian none of these will work because there is a mutation that prevents the activation of melanin.

    thanks, so what would your take be on increasing melanin? how can we achieve that if you had to give your opinion about it? Also could you by any chance make a video about melanotan? The peptide that stimulates melanin production, i am really interested to know why melanotan can make people that had totally no tanning ability (almost), get all of the sudden a tan

      Yes, but why would you want to d this? In doing so you leave your skin cell nucleus unprotected and open to DNA damage.
