Even though I love the sv650 and the fz07 I think I instead will go with the z500 if I was looking to buy a middleweight naked bike. Is a fantastic motorcycle and for only $5600 brand new, I think is a really good deal and pretty hard to beat.
I took my FZ-07 out today and tried running it easy on the back roads and some in town running between 35-60 mph and got 67 mpg out of it. If I ride it hard like I usually do I average 50mpg. I would have thought this would have done a bit better.
@@leeinwisI used US gallons in my calculation. 3.79 liters is a gallon. Never knew in the UK a gallon is like 4.54 liters or so. I rarely visit the UK, I visit the US more often.
Doesnt make sense to do that. Z125 is for A1 license, Z400/500 for A2. Basically they have a bike for each category and thats what most manufacturers aim for including honda and yamaha
They do have quite a few in that smaller size actually, just not in the USA, probably because they don’t think they would sell. They have the 177 CC Barako, the ZX25R, the ninja 400 and z400 in some markets, and the ninja 250 and z250. Remember that the place where Kawasaki sells the most motorcycles is the Philippines.
Charlie, We know you have spoken at length on the challenge of repeatable City mpg tests for cars but one of these days you must try a high mpg car on the same route. My suggestion is the new all-Hybrid Camry. 😉
I have been thinking of this a bit recently. Another reason I keep from doing this test is that the EPA's city testing is much more accurate to real-world driving than their highway loop. So it seems less necessary to me. But I suppose it would probably get views. I will keep considering.
A Lexus GS F? They're cool, but they're a bit outclassed at this point. They weren't very fast or exciting for lugging around that big of a motor, when Toyota can get similar performance out of a hybrid four cylinder now (albeit while not sounding as cool). Similar to the Taurus SHO, there's not a huge market for heavy fast sedans, might as well have a heavy fast SUV at that point.
@DailyMotor so as a daily you don't recommend it? I found one near my place for 40k with 95k miles it was fully spected although I didn't test it the car looked cool and I heard it was fast with a nice v8 and it had a great ML but I wanted to get your opinion on it
@@AlKororo99 Yeahhh, for me I'd want more modern tech and efficiency for that price, either that or more exciting driving dynamics. Even a Chevy SS with the 6MT would be cooler in my eyes. It's not a bad car, but I'd wait for them to depreciate more.

In 'Merica you can ride around on a Busa with a shotgun on your back as you collect cheeseburgers.
DAMN RIGHT! 'MURICA!
Lmao you passed my house in this video
SE regular forks? Eh. That's unfortunate. GREAT review!

I got 68 MPG out of it in Europe. But that is the A2 model with 45 hp.
Imperial gallons are slightly different.

It’s hard to tell because we didn’t get to hear how he accelerated and how much he twisted
CC creep is real. I didn’t think the 400 needed “more” of anything. Maybe they’ll slot a new smaller bike underneath the 500 but above the Z125.

Versys 300
@@leeinwis ... desperately needs the 400 or 450cc engine if it wants to keep selling in an increasingly competitive segment.
Sweet bike!
too scrunched up
I got the same bike, having a problem with front wheel vibration when braking. It doesn’t do it all the time but the mechanic wrench is on.

Awesome review for what im looking for
I own a vstrom 800 de and I am.lookinv forward to owning this bike of the ninja 500 as a second bike.
Can u do the same on the highway/Autobahn or whatever its called in the US? ❤😅
Hey Charlie I realized you have not tested a gsf and I was wondering would you be able to test one out im interested in your thoughts on it

They're rare, but I'd rather have a Equus with the V-8 for half the price :P
Can he beat cfmoto 450 nk?
Hi
Is it posdible to test the Eliminator 500? I mean Mpg...thank you👍👍
I will try to get one, I've heard good things about it!
@@DailyMotor thanks...me too..its a simple but very reliable and fun bike.....
Same engine, so probably same results
where's the storage where you keep your manual and registration?
Under the seat.
Well thought we would see the bike in real time instead of running the video to fast
All considered not super impressive. Maybe it needs at overdrive gear
How is 58 mpg not inpressive for a vehicle that does 0-60 in 3 seconds? 🤨
@@Powersproductions130more like 0-60 in 6 seconds
@@bubbazanetti9010 4.8 actually.
@@Powersproductions130 not bad, still closer to 6 than 3 😂
@@bubbazanetti9010 this is such a stupid argument bro. Under 5 seconds to 60 and gets almost 60mpg. You’re not gonna get that in ANY car.
Thats a lot for a 450. Cb500 does less
How much fokkkking top speed?
like 110-120mph/ 177.028kph
Can he go 200kph? Or not better throw to garbage haay
