Now you know why everyone wanted you to wait. This was a real switch from the "expected". It's another reason why they do so darn well together! They can switch up parts and really pull out all the stops to just make you drop your jaw!!! Great reaction. Don't count Chance out. He really is a great asset to the group.
YASSS!!! I'm so excited for you! Welcome, young Home Fry to the fold. You are now and forevermore one of us! Lots of love and peace from an old Home Fry from Kentucky
Your electric eyes are that of a small child on Christmas morning ... I'm in love. Oh, my, boys are incredible, and the music and sound are talent from God.
When Tim sings lead, Chance is singing the bassline and so many people forget that. I love it also when Chance gets to sing lead too. As good as Chris Rupp was, once Adam joined, he brought the secret sauce because they went from one bass to two, and he can also sing tenor, so when Adam doesn't do the vocal percussion, you can really have a five tenor group.
I'm new to your channel. I watched all your previous reactions to Home Free. This reaction was awesome! Being a musician, you hear things other reactors don't. The smile said it all. This was fun to watch! It really made my day. An HONEST reaction.
Been waiting for this one!!!!! They've got so many more .... In The Blood, Never Gonna Give You Up (hilarious), Ring of Fire, Colder Weather, When A Man Loves A Woman ........ !!!
My favorite tenors on the planet are Adam and his older brother Chris Rupp! I’m with you, I really want Home Free to release a live CD so we can listen to a professional recording of Adams solo! I would play it on repeat. Very enjoy your reactions thank you!
I definitely heard Home Free nation chortling during your intro talking about expecting the dragon breath from Tim. What a great reaction. There's so much going on in the backing harmonies and the percussion that I had to listen 5 times the first time around and I still missed things. Great job by the boys.
Home Fry subs will always have your back and take you in the right direction in this rabbit hole! We are a loyal group to Home Free and the channels who react! Your graphics have not gone unnoticed young man! I love your reactions! Hello from Texas🤠🤠🤠
Also, do you see anyone clapping? Tim and Adam can both go to an F note. Chance did all the bass in this piece. He also does bass in all songs where Tim sings in his mid range. When you read this you will always look for it like I do.
Now I must haunt you to do some Chance leads. He just doesn’t get the attention that Tim and Austin do(the 2 extremes in the group). And Chance and Rob are my favorite HF leads. “I Can’t Outrun You”- pure 5 part harmony, hauntingly beautiful, and Chance directed the video. “Cover Me Up”, with lovely subtle percussion by Adam. Let the video play out as there is a surprise. “Blue Ain’t Your Color”, Rob and Chance leads, very Temptations-esque. “Some Girls Do”, “Yours”, “Finally Free”. One of Chance’s projects is “Helplessly Hoping”- cover of CSN, and more 5 part harmony. “Winter Song”, from their last Christmas album. Chance’s voice is like sipping scotch while wrapped in velvet. He is a storyteller similar to Gordon Lightfoot.
They chose to sing this in its original key as sung by Cam, a female country singer. Just proves their lack of having a female in the group is no detriment--they just let their BASS handle it! 🤣 LOVE the versatility of our amazingly talented fellas!! 🥰. Every member of Home Free could absolutely be a solo ⭐ star ⭐ but their harmonies together are MAGIC!! ❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️
:) Now ya have a different "way" to listen!!! I say that Tim and Chance have nearly the same range!!! Who knew!?! : ) These things ya get to see and experience especially in LIVE shows -- well, because their music vids don't show much -- but sometimes ... and hard to catch. They're together like in Man of Constant Sorrow --- Switch off in so many ... and you don't realize the difference, it's tough. Oh, and now you can go wherever requests take ya .... : ) But pay attention!!! Tim & Austin, Tim's Solo stuff (it's all him!!! ), -- Snow Globe ....... Even LIVE stuff (that chit will make ya go --- WTH) ....... Great Reaction -- Thanks! Truly worthwhile! Be Safe
Great reaction! One of my favorites by them. Please react to Tim’s solo song “Will you still love me tomorrow/ stay. Tims range in that song It will blow you away!
Okay, now that you've seen Mayday, check out their From the Vault series, sort of a camera behind the camera. Episode 19 covers the filming of Mayday. I can't watch the video without hearing Austin's voice in my head: "So artsy."
Their versatility is infinite. You would probably enjoy the live "9 to 5 Beatbox Breakdown." Also, I really think Chance's voice is captivating, kind of has that storyteller vibe, just grabs you type of thing. I can't wait for his solo album coming soon (I think). If you want to hear more of him, try Cover Me Up. It's gorgeous, and there is a surprise at the end following the song. Great reaction again. Thanks!
I completely agree re Cover Me Up/Chance. My son played/sang his way through college and performed that Jason Isbell cover often. It was one of my favorites. So when I heard Chance do it... wow. Love his/HF version. Can't wait for his album - I didn't even know it was in the works!

He covers the bass while Tim sings other parts❤ Chance collabs with The Hound & The Fox are absolutely beautiful! "Whistling Lad" is my fave.

Every time, EVERY SINGLE time, another one is phenomenal, and another one is our new favorite!!! I surrender!!! ❤
Tim can sing even higher than he did in this song. Check out Tim Foust will you still love me tomorrow/stay. This one is incredible Tim actually sings all the parts and harmonys with himself.
At any given moment, one or more of these guys can just floor you with a surprising skill you never suspected. Every one of them is so versatile in their talents. Hearing these guys perform just makes my heart happy. I love your reactions because you obviously know music and it makes your heart happy, too. I don't know music, so I can only listen with my heart, but Home Free satisfies a craving I didn't even know I had. Thanks for another great reaction.

If you haven’t yet, check out Tim’s cover of “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow/Stay” mashup. THAT will REALLY blow your mind!
I loved your facial expressions 😅. This most definitely is a fan favorite. Yes Chance has a very smooth as butter smokey voice. He has some great solo work out there and is coming out with more the end of this month. Adam was killing it with his out of this world sounds that just make you stop and think "how does he do that." This song is why HomeFree are my favorite group. Thanks again for your reaction. Glad you liked it . They never disappoint. ❤😊
Great Reaction!! Us Home Fries will never steer you wrong . Cool-- you got all the “right” answers regarding range and waited. The fries are patient and precise. What I’ve enjoyed most about your reactions…since their style differs so drastically to your’s, it’s evident that you genuinely still enjoy something out of ‘your’ norm. For me that’s what’ll keep people consuming your reactions.
Thank you so much for that wonderful compliment! I’ve been coming to find out that my style is quite vast. Sitting here editing photography listening to Mongolian throat singing (a hint to the reaction video coming out today!) Only music so far that I just can’t sit and listen to is country. Maybe that will change some day too. But I just love talent in general. And I love “different”. I’ve seen and experienced a lot of things, so anything new, is exciting for me. I just love it. And you all MAKE this experience! I’m just so thankful. These suggestions have totally enriched mine, and my wife’s life. So much amazing music!
Chance seems to get the least attention of anyone in this group but he's probably the most versatile member. He can take the bass when Tim goes high, add additional beatbox, sing up into the tenor ranges and takes lead in some songs.
Chance does a great reasonably high bari-tenor first verse in the 2022 remake of American Pie. He does a smooth 2nd verse baritone lead in Brothers In Arms and the initial baritone lead in Sea Shanty Medley. He also starts solo in Helplessly Hoping. Home Free got lucky when they found Chance while looking for a replacement for Chris Rupp back in 2016.
There is one part that many people miss. When Home Free does claps in their songs, they show them clapping in the video. In this, there is something sounding like claps but the guys are not clapping. If you watch Adam closely, he is doing something at those moments. Watch his hands during any performance, he moves them like when he does his drum solo. So if you watch, you can see him snap his hand at the moments of the clapping like sound...so he is replicating claps?!? Also, if you watch the behind the scenes for this song (in their from the vault videos) you can watch Tim do the video shots of him singing the first part. The guys tend to actually sing (not full on but not just mouthing) while recording video. So you can hear the recorded track that he is singing with as well as his live voice while shooting...stereo Tim! Which is awesome to see and hear.
Chance actually did the bass throughout the song! Tim said he didn't do any bass in this. Pretty cool. Go back and listen to the bass in the beginning when Tim is singing lead now that you know it's chance! 😁😉
Hardly surprising when you consider that he sang bass for years with his previous band.. In fact Chance has a better voice than Tim in the lower registers.

Just like tim covered many of Austin's leads when he was out sick and he could hit the notes but not in the same quality and power.
This song is one of my favorites. So glad you waited to react to it. Your surprise at hearing the switch ups in the voices was great. Tim can sing in a beautiful higher tenor voice along with Austin & Rob. And Chance can hit the lower bass notes when needed. And Adam did a fabulous job as always with his vocal percussion. We get adamant about Mayday because we care about reactors and we want them to get the full effect 😄
Love it...and THANK YOU! ✌🏼
