I wish that the color exchange would give close suggestions for colors that don't have a perfect match. I use it all the time, and I put in several different brands. Sometimes there are no matches even with 5 brands. I get by by using a bunch of different thread sample cards and finding something close, but it isn't always easy. It's not that I can't pick my own colors, but sometimes when it is a species of bird or fish or butterfly for example, I really do want a close match. Thanks for the great designs!
SAME And Madeira's rayon numbers don't even correspond to their poly, which EmbLibrary doesn't normally call for. Who goes to great lengths to embroider something memorable for unimpressive rayon?
Discovered this when I was home sick from work a few years ago. Stitched out a beautiful design according to what my machine told me as I skipped the chart in favour of a quick stitch out. A very funny looking result. Went back to bed. 🙂 For the rest of my sick day off work. Only follow the chart provided now.
Thank you so much for this informative video! We truly appreciate the valuable insights and tips shared. Also, a special thank you for using our thread in the demonstration. It's an honor to see our products being showcased in such a helpful and engaging way. Keep up the fantastic work Karline.
I always print out your designs and use the sheet to find the correct or nearest to the color in my stack of over 150 spools of thread. I've always been able to find the exact color or one that is nearest in my stash of thread!
Oh wow! I think you should have gone a little deeper into Thread Exchange. For example: it can be found under Exclusively EL. And more importantly: It gives you the ability to type in an EL product number, tell it what brand of thread you want to use..... and poof - up pops a list of the number of each color you need to use for that brand for that design. I had NO idea this was here, and I have been coming here for 15 or 20 years now!
The thread exchange option is shown on every color change sheet - odd you never saw this. Easily 85% of the time there are no matches, and poly is a rarity.
I use the Thread Exchange to switch to my thread manufacturer and still usually need to go through my thread chart to fill in the blanks for one or two that have no conversion.
Will you be adding Filtec Glide thread to your thread exchange tool? I transitioned to mostly using the Glide polyester thread. You have several brands listed in your tool but not Glide. I was just wondering if that would be added any time in the future? Thanks
HI I have lately had several designs that my machine does not follow the the thread colour changes. There is no pause between 2 sections to change the colour of thread and therefore what should be 2 colours as shown on colour page is all one colour.I have always followed the thread page. My machine is a Janome, Jef files.
It sounds like your machine is merging like colors. We recommend looking for the setting specific to your machine and/or software, turning off the setting, then downloading a fresh file. This usually does the trick!
