I'd recommend just coming up with a plan and staying consistent with studying. WGU won't hold your hand, so it's really important to be disciplined and have a game plan going in. That said, you'll have course instructors who will help you if you get stuck. Reddit and the official WGU discord are also great places to get help and advice for each class. Even if some of the classes are hard, remember why you signed up for WGU in the first place and never give up on your goals. You got this! 💪
They weren't for me, but I've been in the industry for around 10 years. If you're new, some classes will be hard, but as long as you stay consistent with studying I think you'll be fine.
Bro I'm enrolled in the MBA in IT too. I'm about to start in Aug but thinking about the cybersecurity m.s. I have my cybersecurity bachelor's. Similar to your situation. I want to be a CiSo. U think I should stick with the MBA?
There are plenty of CISO's without a masters degree so either one can get you there. I'd say do whichever degree you're more interested in. Personally though, I chose the MBA since my bachelors was in Cybersecurity and Information Assurance and I wanted my masters to be in something different.
Wishing you all the best on the next part of your journey!
Thanks!
I'm in the accelerated BSIT/MSITM program starting 8/1 as well and was able to sign up for the 6 payment option
Thanks for the info!
Starting MSCSIA in Oct. They do make you resubmit your certs for transferable credits, to make sure you are still certified.
Shaco main gone Cyber Security guru. Keep up the great work!
WOW man. It's been a while. Thanks! Hope you're doing well. I miss playing League. I might get back into it after I finish school.🃏
I love the channel and I was wondering if you applied for any cybersecurity jobs after you got your bachelors?
Thanks! I already work in cybersecurity and I like my current job so I haven't applied to any other jobs yet.

You could only start in August and not in July even though you finished months before?
Yup. I tried, but their system wouldn't let me start any sooner than August.
Was the IT bachelors courses difficult? I start October and not looking forward to the math section lol

Definitely stick with the MBA if your goal is to be a CISO, because that is more of a business leader who understands cybersecurity.
