The fact that BPegasus thinks these Kiss videos are crazy- is because he doesn’t know how to be wild & have fun. It was a blast being a teen girl in the 70s. We didn’t NOT want anyone to get cancelled or call them misogynist - because we were all in on the party! Kiss was the most fun of all!
Main thing to remember about KISS and how this video is structured, they spent the first half of their career in anonymity because of the makeup and personas they put on. Paul Stanley "Starchild" - Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar, Gene Simmons "The Demon" - Bass, some lead vocals and Fire/Blood spitting on stage, Ace Frehley "The Spaceman" - Lead Guitar, Peter Chris "Catman" - Drums and Piano/vocals on the song "Beth". This video came out when they took the makeup off and showed their real faces... hence the "Kiss Exposed" video. ☮❤🎶
@@gavinvl06 they had playing talent. Not the writing talent. Van Halen songs are for the most part mediocre at best. Hell, 2 or 3 of their most popular songs were other peoples songs originally.

I saw these guys live in Houston, Texas in 1977 for the Love Gun tour, Man what a great concert and was also my first concert. And it was all the original members. Great song.
It all depends on. I was born in 79 and haven’t ever heard these guys on the radio. When I was born my parents were older. They listened to what is referred to as the oldies station that played stuff like Elvis and the Beatles stuff like that
I saw KISS for the first time in 96 Greensboro Coliseum the original members reunited and it was the best live show I’ve ever seen they did all of their original stage things
I've seen them 4 times, 2 concerts with my 2 boys. Their shows are crazy fun. My kids had a blast. They never got to see the original lineup, but still had a great time.
The 80’s was DEFINITELY A BLAST! And ONE BIG PARTY!! And the best thing is that there’s NO RECORD of anything we did! Haha… i graduated in 84’ and man I wouldn’t change growing up in this time for anything in the world! Great reaction brother!! Keep on ROCKIN!!
Class of 79 here this song was HUUUUUUUUUUUGE IN 1975 when RELEASED LONG LIVE THE 70s BABY KISS WAS FORMED IN THE 70s like a huge number of great 70s bands b4 the 80s started
KISS Army member here. 1975 Dressed To Kill album followed by Kiss Alive. 1976 Destroyer. Seen the Destroyer show at age 13 album and show straight ❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥God Of Thunder, Beth, Shout It Out, Detroit Rock City and Sweet Pain. Parents loved to listing to the Alive album during supper. I didn't even know Cheap Trick was a band back then. I saw them In 1979 and I was so wasted I lost my ticket while standing in line and had to buy another one. I also have some weird "brief encounter with fame" connections to them. I used to live about a mile away from Robin Zander's parents house. My younger brother was friends with a guy who I saw play with Robin Zander's son and Bunny Carlos's son in a small bar in Rockford IL.
Kiss was my favorite growing up. Parents took me to the dynasty tour in 79 I was 10. Saw them again on the hot in the shade tour and then the reunion tour twice.
I saw Kiss when they got back together w original band members and toured in 1996. They all sing , in fact my favorite songs are sung by Peter Criss , Hard luck woman and Beth.
I grew up on Kiss, I am 38. I listened to it while my kids were growing up. My teens know their music! We were happy to see their concert in December 2023.
Gene was a singer as well, he is well known for his stage antics which I why most people associate him with Kiss right away. Although all the original musicians had solo albums ( Kiss Solos) Paul Stanley was lead singer and front man. Keep on rockin!
Gene and Paul are the 2 original members. Ace Frehley and Peter Criss played lead guitar and drums repectively. Those two positions in the band have changed back and forth over the years. They will do a reunion for a little while then remember why they parted ways to begin with. The soundtrack to my formative years for sure. Thanks for the great channel with open and honest reactions.
Once more you have tapped into my younger days... I saw KISS live in Syracuse, NY in 1976 and they played this song! You are right when you say they knew how to put on a show... this video shows out takes of what they would do on stage every concert. Great reaction as always BP! I love your reactions.
They play this song at the end of the concert. At the same time huge confetti falls out of the ceiling. For a few minutes you can't see anything but confetti, but the party vibe is huge 🎉🎶
I probably mentioned it on your last KISS reaction, but I saw them on New Years Eve 1975 at the Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale NY. Leslie West Band opened, followed by Blue Oyster Cult and then KISS. They turned the house lights on when they played this song. What an amazing and memorable night! #blackpegasus #kiss
Saw them in concert as a kid. What a great show. " we love you," they shouted. We loved our musicians and they loved us. 80s was a huge party that carried on into the 90s with rap and some awesome dancing.
KISS was a great show. My first concert, saw them twice in two weeks in the summer of 77. Once in Salt Lake City, and two weeks later in Phoenix. I still have my old scrapbook with every article I could find in Circus Magazine and others.
Paul Stanley was lead singer, Gene on bass, Ace Frely on lead quitar, Peter Criss on drums. First concert I ever saw pre adult. Cheap Trick backed them up.
Everyone on earth knows gene - he's an attention hound. He's dated Diana Ross, Cher, etc (very high profile), he's had a reality show, he pushes KISS swag, he's interviewed every day..... During the reunion tour in 1996, I quit my job and followed KISS across 6 states!! I saw them 4 times in 4 different states all within 10 days! I partied with other members of the "KISS Army". It was absolutely the best 10 days of my life!! I would do it again in a heartbeat! KISS was the first concert for each of my kids. Once they turned 13 we got our KISS tickets, put on our makeup and off we went!
Yes. Classic 70s KISS. This is some of their best stuff. And yes they put on a hell of a show. When I saw them in 85 they rolled a tank out onto the stage. I was made for loving you was their disco experiment. Don't judge them on that one please. Paul is the lead singer. Gene sings lead on a few of their songs
KISS eXposed was a VHS "rock-umentary" about the band. I still have a copy around here somewhere. It was really very funny the way they didn't take themselves very seriously! Most of the clips from the video were from that video special. If you can find a copy, it's well worth the watch and the laugh!
Kiss when they had a reality show after 9/11 started touring at state side bases/post but more VA Hospitals. They did a great rendition of all branches anthems and Born in USA together in two one song NOT mashed together. I had it saved to my On Demand with Cox. Moved cross country and had to turn it in. It really grand and the active military at bases and VA Hospitals the look on their faces so full with joy was a sight to behold.
fortunate to see Kiss 2 times with original members. 1978 or 79 Atlanta omni. later in Columbus Ga.. Their show was Awesome AF... I'm 60 now and still rock out with Kiss.... BP Love you videos brother
Kiss werethe ones that originated doing smoke, fire, explosions and visual effects at shows. 2 Japanese musicians saw them in Tokyo and were inspired to do something similar... they called it Visual Kei... They formed the band X Japan.... Michael Jackson was a big fan of theirs and was inspired to put on shows just like them.
The best live show I've ever seen. I've been to over 200 concerts and KISS puts on the best shows ever. Seen them 17 times and was never disappointed. You should react to the video Hide Your Heart. You will be blown away.
My very FIRST concert.... Kiss- "Destroyer" Tour in 1976. Duluth, MN. Opening act was The James Gang. I was 15, and all the fire, explosions and lights blew my ever-loving mind!!

Hi Black Pegasus! It's Andrew Erroch fae Paisley in Scotland here. I can tell you, Kiss certainly are well known for putting on a show and giving their customers at least the worth of their ticket price. I work at concerts, so I obviously attend a lot of shows, but when Kiss came to town at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, I decided I was going to buy a ticket for this one, for a change. In fact, I got one for my brother as well, so we could both attend. I'm so glad I did. I wore my Kiss t-shirt, and we were even able to get pre-show drinks for free, as my daughter manages a club near the venue. As for the show, well, what can I say?... It was certainly one that will stay with me forever. I remember Gene Simmons said in an interview a while back that they've always believed people come to see a show, not just people singing on stage and they will always put on the best show they can. It's a feast for the eyes, as well as the ears, with platforms rising and falling, fire, explosions, confetti, and pretty much every stage effect you can imagine. Gene himself is also known for having fake blood coming from his mouth, and that was included, too. We really felt fully satisfied, and it was one of the best, if not The Best Concert we had ever seen. The support acts were great, too. They were The Wild Things and Skindred, and I am now a fan of both of those acts as well. It was a brilliant night to remember. Æ 🙏
Like you said, Gene Simmons is more famous than the lead singer as his wild reputation precedes him. So much so that I almost forgot Paul Stanley had significant moves in the live show too, which he is well known for. There was a point in the show when he grabbed a rope of some kind and swung all the way across to his small B-stage towards the front of the hall to sing and play guitar. Gene Simmons, however, is a rock powerhouse and has done a lot of stuff on TV and movies too. He had a reality TV show in the UK called Rock School, where he taught school kids how to become rock stars. The were 2 series of that show. In the 1st series he was teaching classically trained kids from a posh school. The 2nd series was even more popular, as he was teaching troubled kids from a comprehensive school. I'm sure you'll be able to see this on UA-cam. Æ 🙏
They released a live album (Alive IV) with The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. The song Detroit Rock City (which I recall you commenting that Detroit is referred to as Rock City) is the first song with the full orchestra on that album. It is very cool and I think you would love it.
I saw them live in Feb of 2019 in Portland, OR, they do put on a great concert. Gene is the base player, Paul is lead singer. Gene does sing a few songs, "God of Thunder". A great disco era song "I was made for loving you"
I've seen them 3x over the years, first time I was 14 and I was hooked. Then again in my later teens and then early twenties. I was always a Big performance. Great music, Party atmosphere, on the Dirty side but in a good way!!!!! They put on a SHOW!!You definately got your money's worth and then some. Genes Blood Spitting a d Fire Breathing is ICONIC.❤❤
My brother took me to see them in November 2023 at one of their last shows during their 50th anniversary tour. It was truly an amazing show. Gene, Paul and the gang are true Rock Gods.
They are like the beatles, all sing and play. Gene Simmons, The Demon, is most known probably, but the others were absolutely incredible. Especially Ace Freely, The Spaceman. Paul Stanley, The Starchild on vocals, The Catman Peter Chris on drums.
Thanks so much I got to see them in the 70s an in the 80s and it was the bomb only thing we were standing on the when it ended an they dump confetti from the ceiling it was so thick it went up you nose in your mouth my boyfriend had to lead me out but we were smoking joints an loving the music back in the 70s we went to concerts every other weekend. Got to see and hear some of the best music of all time thanks for bringing it back.
Beth is my my favorite, I distinctly remember their first mtv video when they took the makeup off. It was awesome. I’ve seen them in concert with DefLeppard and they were awesome. Never been a kiss nation fan but that pretty much changed when I saw them live. FYI they were in makeup.
3:02 TBH, Pegasus, Gene Simmons, and Paul Stanley switch back and forth between singing lead vocals. Also, on some of their earlier songs, back when drummer Peter Criss and guitarist were Ace Frehley, were still part of the band, they'd have songs where they'd sang lead vocals, such as "Hard Luck Woman" or "Shock Me"
KISS had also hit big with anthem: "God Gave Rock 'N' Roll To You": cover of Christian Rock band: PETRA ("Rock" in Greek) song, & KISS's cover's in "Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey" movie!
British band 'Argent' were OG's for "God Gave Rock 'N' Roll To You" in '73, which Petra covered in '77 & video in '84, then KISS covered in '84 video & in '88 movie.
Not an avid KISS fan, my friend took me to their final tour. They put on an entertaining show and really go all out giving a great show to their fans. Impressed.
Simon was a self promoter after he got older.
Kiss was my first real rock concert with my friends. (I saw Elvis and Sonny and Cher with my parents as a child.) Nothing compares with rocking out at a concert with your friends! Really wish I hadn't been so involved in the sex and drugs of the day. Would be nice to remember all the fabulous concerts I went to back then, lol. Thank God for sobriety!
Fun fact - Gene Simmons was an elementary school teacher in NYC before founding Kiss in 1973. Something else you should know is that in the world of Rock music makeup - before Kiss there was Alice Cooper, check out No More Mr. and/or School's Out.
And yes I have seen Kiss Live about 4 or 5 times or so so that means different lineups and I did get to see them with the original lineup from the 1970s twice
Saw them in the late 79's( I think) at Anaheim Stadium, 1st concert I'd ever had purse searched ,and I'd been to many concerts already by then, they had the jumbotron flash signs " please be seated, do not jump" something like that, because the floor above us was actually moving! A cement structure!
Gene Simmons (bass) and Paul Stanley (guitar) normally shared lead vocals. Peter Cross (drums) did vocals for Beth. Ace Frehley (lead guitar) did a song or two.
This is from their mockumentary KISS Exposed 1987. They made this VHS Tape mocking the Rock & Roll Lifestyle. What was good about it was that they showed old stage performances of the bands early years and videos up to that point. Now All 4 original guys could take over lead vocals but it was usually Gene Simmons & Paul Stanley. Peter Criss the drummer had their Biggest commercial hit with "Beth". Ace didn't start singing lead until later as he had no confidence in his ability but his KISS Solo album is the best of the 4 with Paul's coming in a close 2nd.
There are two main singers - Paul Stanley is actually the main but Gene Simmons sings a lot of songs as well. Ace had a few and drummer, Peter Chris had their biggest hit as lead singer with the song "Beth".
Kiss took Rush on their first big tour. And like Geddy said no matter what you think if Kiss nobody puts on more of a show than Kiss. I took my son to see them when he was in kindergarten and its was a amazing show. They definitely bring it.
As a singer, a couple of these guys gave me really good tips! How to keep your voice and throat good before, during and even after shows. Much love for helping a fledgling and staying humble and kind. XOXOXO
Not many of non KISS fans know that it was Paul & Gene that formed the band & have never touched drugs and are from the same Jewish neighborhood. They played a roll and made millions doing it ❤
I'm a old timer, and without a doubt, KISS put on the BEST Live shows I've ever witnessed! I've seen them play NFL stadiums and smaller arena's, was the best live band around!🎸
I was a proud member of the KISS Army.
I was too back in 1976 !

Ace was never "The Spaceman", he was "Space-Ace"! Only member with official altergo "The Spaceman" is Tommy
@@DaP84 Ace Frehley was the Spaceman before there was a Tommy. He invented the persona of The Spaceman (a.k.a. Space Ace)
Beth is my favorite KISS song. I name my cars after songs, and my 92 Beretta (bought used) was Beth.
@@iamnavarres8085 we were specifically talking alterego name, not definition of alterego character.
Peter sang more then Beth...it's just the only one played on radio. He sang so many cool songs in the earlier days
Gene Simmons also owns a production and recording company. His company gave a start to an unknown group you might have heard of, Van Halen.

These guys put on one of the best shows EVER! True entertainers! I’ve seen them 4 times! So good! Enjoy! 🤘🏻🇨🇦🤘🏻
I've been a fan since 1974. I've seen them live over a dozen times.
They are like the beatles, all sing and play. Gene Simmons, The Demon, is most known probably, but the others were absolutely incredible. Especially Ace Freely, The Spaceman. Paul Stanley, The Starchild on vocals, The Catman Peter Chris on drums.
This was our anthem back in high school
KISS was my dad’s favorite band when he was in high school & they were the first band I ever got into
One of the anthems of the mid 70's. Great band. Save them wayyy back when they first came to Brisbane.
Saw them live in 1978 in Brisbane Australia. I was 15 and was my first rock concert. To this day have never seen a better live show ..
It was November 1980, their first tour to Australia
Beth is my my favorite, I distinctly remember their first mtv video when they took the makeup off. It was awesome. I’ve seen them in concert with DefLeppard and they were awesome. Never been a kiss nation fan but that pretty much changed when I saw them live. FYI they were in makeup.
I did see them once in the 80's, makeup free, and they rocked!!!
Love this song so much.
RIP Eric Carr, my favorite KISS drummer, he was part of the group in the 80's and passed due to heart cancer in 1991 - he was the "Fox" character.
He was an absolute monster on the drums
@@blueyegrl74 Yes he was and never really gets mentioned, too bad.

TBH, Pegasus, Gene Simmons, and Paul Stanley switch back and forth between singing lead vocals.
Man! I loved Kiss and played the tape in my car all the time! KISS Alive!
I've seen them live at least 4 times. Always a great show.
Not an avid KISS fan, my friend took me to their final tour. They put on an entertaining show and really go all out giving a great show to their fans. Impressed.
Last saw KISS in concert on the The Final Fifty tour in Vancouver in 2023. Amazing show!!!
Fun fact - Gene Simmons was an elementary school teacher in NYC before founding Kiss in 1973.
Something else you should know is that in the world of Rock music makeup - before Kiss there was Alice Cooper, check out No More Mr. and/or School's Out.
i seen them live they were awesome
Best concert I've ever been too.
And yes I have seen Kiss Live about 4 or 5 times or so so that means different lineups and I did get to see them with the original lineup from the 1970s twice
THE 70s where the NUKE BOMB . I wanna Rock and Roll came out in 1975
@theodoreritola7641 I know I was 13 when it came out album alive with the live recording of the song on it that's when it finally became a hit
Yes in deed 70s Brat . I KNOW IM ONE LOL
You ought to react to there opening performance live in Pittsburgh on there last tour!A show to remember! No more touring.50+ years,WOW!
greats rock anthom ever written
Saw them in the late 79's( I think) at Anaheim Stadium, 1st concert I'd ever had purse searched ,and I'd been to many concerts already by then, they had the jumbotron flash signs " please be seated, do not jump" something like that, because the floor above us was actually moving! A cement structure!
Saw KISS live 50 years ago in Dayton Ohio
You gotta do more KISS! One of my favorites is I love it loud! It’s so good!
Kiss ❤love Kiss rock de topo valor nunca perdem moda❤
Man, this was the party song back in the day. I never got to see them live though. I'm sure it would've been a blast! 🔥🔥🔥
Each of the original KISS members put out a solo album. I was impressed with the drummer’s solo album.
There live shows always had playmates sitting in the first few rows. Was always a fantastic show !!!
As a singer, a couple of these guys gave me really good tips! How to keep your voice and throat good before, during and even after shows. Much love for helping a fledgling and staying humble and kind. XOXOXO
First Kiss Concert 1977 Last , Their last show Madison Square Garden Dec. 2023! KISS ARMY!
Man we had such fun in high school! All of this great music and very little studying!
They definitely put on a wild show!
Not many of non KISS fans know that it was Paul & Gene that formed the band & have never touched drugs and are from the same Jewish neighborhood. They played a roll and made millions doing it ❤
..."Class of 76"...Every Nite's a Party and Every Day is a Vacation was my attitude at one time and still alive...
Their song, Beth ❤
Kiss was my first concert back in 1977 I was 10 years old mom and dad dropped my brother 12 y.o. and I off. It was safer back then😃
I'm a old timer, and without a doubt, KISS put on the BEST Live shows I've ever witnessed! I've seen them play NFL stadiums and smaller arena's, was the best live band around!🎸
