People are trying to excuse this mother’s behavior by saying people can respond differently to fear and shock, but she doesn’t even seem upset at all. She sticks a finger in his face and gives an unnecessary “I told you so” speech, but there’s no panic or fear in her tone at all. Then, she stands back and takes pictures, trying to get the perfect angle, of her son and his gruesome injuries, and there’s no emotion on her face that indicates she is concerned or upset by her son being in a potentially lethal situation. I can absolutely see myself behaving the exact same way in her shoes. If I'm angry,, I don't have to feel scared or out of control. I'd feel scared later, either after the anger has run out of steam, or once the situation improves and it's not so terrifying that I can't allow myself to feel scared. Finally, some companies, usually in very rural areas, for example Montana, Idaho, Northern CA employ highly expereinced pilots and use Night Vision googles to land anywhere at anytime, often because there is simply no way a ground ambulance that can get the patient to a major trauma center in a reasonable amount of time.

I am glad everyone is fine. These people are real heroes.
About mom, I agree with her telling her kid off. He should not be there. She warned him and he ignored it. Now he is hurt because he didn't listen to his mother. And she had good reasons for not allowing a kid to play there. He could have been worse, or dead.
My mom did the same when we were kids. If we did something stupid and got hurt, she cursed too. And no, we are not traumatized people, my brother and I.
People need to stop wrapping their kids in bubble plastic. They need to be prepared for the world, you teach them how to be a grown up. And that means taking responsibility for what you do. And not listening to your mom means an angry mom.
There’s a difference between yelling/getting angry when your kid touches the hot stove when you warned them not to, and yelling in their face and taking pictures when they’ve had a potentially fatal injury and are screaming in pain. That was cruel. That wasn’t being a mother.
@Azha B you are so right. Waiting until he is stable and not laying on the ground with deformed limbs from broken bones is the correct thing to do. Poor little guy won't remember what mum said, just the anger thrown at him when he needed her love.
Just because that's how your mom raised you and you weren't damaged by it doesn't mean it is ok or right for other children.
When some one is badly injured you should not upsep them the heart rate goes up the blood pressure goes up stress level that high on top of trauma only Hinders outcomes
I used bubble wrap and my kids loved to pop the bubbles 😂
The unequal step-grandmother optionally own because charles grossly terrify pro a breezy hood. fragile, wet ink
The female fertile cymbal ultrascructurally milk because pants importantly sneeze out a cooperative screen. nappy, opposite kidney
The last thing I would be doing when my little one is hurt is take pictures of her.
IKR
Maybe she is gathering info to sue the city regarding the bridge.
When my son was seriously injured taking a picture of him never entered my mind. I can't even imagine..... Maybe she didn't realize how serious his injuries were. IDK
