Hopefully they stick the royalty rate up for us artists. £9.99 is the price of one album so on that basis £30 a month is good value if you really listen to premium on a daily basis.

Increasing the subscription does not automatically imply more revenue. Price increments could cause persons to unsubscribe from the premium services and subsequent patronage of the service.

Not to mention there isn't actually a garenty that spotify charging more will translate into artist getting payed more by spotify, theres no garenty they will include the amount they actually pay artists.
Personally i think this is a bad thing, spotify gets a fuck tone of money, they shouldn't need to increase there subscription prices to pay artists, they should just have thst money already, you know, because they are a ridiculously successful business.
This just smells like a bad idea if you ask me.

It's definitely not for the artists.
It's because of all the podcasts and video Spotify wants to keep on the platform.
I guarantee you music artists come last on this conversation lol

Well! I’ll say this like he said it.
A price increase into a higher rate of a premium plan, I feel wouldn’t change nothing much.
It certainly won’t generate a Artist Royalty rates, unless the complaints start from the Top industry Artists and companies Artists whom hold the most status streams.

I highly doubt this is going to change the fact you get a single solitary dollar for 1000 plays

Plus one mate tired of major streaming platforms doing these fishy moves, I just saw they raised my family subscription 2€, it could be ok if they explained why and confirmed that artists will get paid more but they didn’t which makes this post really weird. They just notified us and even explain how to cancel it😂 and dude is funny saying the price is nothing since they made billions with their system and still left a lot of musicians with nothing.
