    Always a good feeling when the concrete is laid out and level. Now some time with the trowels and were all done. Going to be nice to see the building moved over and set on the blocks.

    I wish you guys were closer to my location! How does this slab do in freezing climates. Where I live there is a 30 inch minimum frost depth for foundations. With this being NY I know you have winter climate obviously. This monolithic slab does just fine with temperature fluctuations and not affected by not having a frost depth? Thank you. My build site is on hard rock and think we need to do a monolithic slab.

    Nice work Mike!!! As usual,,,,,, haha.
    Great crew on the pour today!!! Sometimes these are just easy diggin, level soil and quick work!! This one had a rather challenging dig, but with the crew today getting the final grade perfect was easy and now that garage will live on and the homeowner will have room to move around,,,,,,. It’s rather tight down there until that garage gets moved!!

    In my experience excavating, the wire doesn't really do anything. Just my opinion, your experiences may vary because your ground is probably WAY different then our gumbo that heaves and moves so much especially with the freeze and thaw cycles.

    • @DIRT-BOSS
      @DIRT-BOSS  2 роки тому +2

      Well if you ever jackhammered out a slab with wire or without wire you would know the difference very quickly in my experiences

    I have been watching your videos for a while why do you put stone in the trench ands on the top of the sub base can’t you just put plastic down then concrete it out

    • @DIRT-BOSS
      @DIRT-BOSS  2 роки тому +1

      This particular one had stone all under the haunch and around it That's the way it was designed.. but normally we just put it on the ground and then build up with stone
