Miss Cosmo India is dressed in a traditional dance costume from Manipur, the home state of contestant No. 18, Danube, which explains the similarity in their attire. Danube’s outfit is adorned with the Sirui Lily, a rare flower grown only in Manipur, and features an intricate engraving of the Sangai, an endangered species unique to the region, on her shawl. Unfortunately, the camera didn’t fully capture the beauty of this exquisite detail. Overall, it’s a beautifully crafted and meaningful tribute to Manipur's rich cultural heritage.
Number 42 had smthing written related to Moumita Debonath. She was a doctor, brutally raped and murdered in her own workplace in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Every medical student and entire india protested against the violence to attain her peace. It is basically that if a person is not even safe in his working atmosphere, then where?. Such acts have become very common here and people especially women didn't wanted to let this go without any legal actions taken.
❤MANIPUR-(18)❤, Dhanube Kangjam attire displaying the Raas Leela ( One of Indian Classical dance), the unique rare flowers displaying the state flower, Shiroi Lily❤, the State bird "Nongin"❤ & just saw Sangai too if I'm sure😊❤. Overall, the stage & every 👸QUEEN👑 this year is amazing💞
@@DawnScar-b4o Umm yes😊, POTLOI is use for wedding too but the way they put the big Red Frills says it all about the costume of Raas Leela. As u can see both Lehenga Or Saree is also use in wedding or other occasions😇
Hey Dani. No. 42, the one with the gold dress and the skirt, had the names of rape victims written on the skirt. It symbolized justice for the departed.
Miss Cosmo India and Miss universe India Cont. No 18 got same designer from the Indian state of Manipur. That explains the similarity between the two costumes and both contestants are also from North East region of India as well. The costume is used in classical dance of Manipur and also a bridal costume for Meitei community in Manipur.
No. 49 Nat cost represents 7 chakras in human body, mentioned below Root Chakra (Muladhara) Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana) Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura) Heart Chakra (Anahata) Throat Chakra (Vishuddha) Third-Eye Chakra (Ajna) Crown Chakra (Sahasrara) (The seven chakras are thought of as the main energy points in your body, which run down the spine)
Contestant # 36 Rhea Singha is the winner of Miss Universe India she spoke about the inspiration that she took for her costume, is about a woman 300 years ago that empowered herself and uplifted the skills of women and youth of that time. Her name was Agilia Bayhulker That is what the costume represents. That is what she explained in her final question in the final show and because of that she won MUI.
Dani, contestant no 5 national costume is not about family tree 😅..the pictures from that tree were the people who make our country proud through several sectors.....i appreciate your effort😍♥️
Dani: "I don't know the exact meaning behind all these costumes". This is where I feel the Glamanand Org committed a major blunder. Like their Miss Grand India pageant which happened earlier, the hosts should have taken turns providing a description of each contestant's costume as they walked. Given our enormous diversity, we Indians for that matter don't always necessarily know much about cultures, stories and mythological figures from every corner of the country. This was a missed opportunity for us all to learn a great deal.
No. 51 represents - Kathputli Dance / Puppet dance in Rajasthan is one of the most famous performing arts. It is a traditional folk dance, a puppet dance based on famous legends performed by skilled puppeteers.
No. 13 - represents south parth of India where you'll find lots of temples with beautiful architecture and you'll see the elephant's there. Elephants are worshipped in many parts of India.
No. 05 - not a family tree but the female Indian leaders / representatives, who made India proud on various platforms. Example: Kalpana Chawla - An Indian-American astronaut and aerospace engineer (the picture in orange)
After the preliminary competition, I am made to believe that no matter the top notch stage production, well-organized and well-managed show was missing. Moreover, where is the intro round of the contestants? Hello!
Rhea Singha 36 national costume is a attribute to Devi Ahilya Bai, who started a movement bavk in the 18th century to skill up the women of India, so that they can be self sufficient. Rhea's advocacy "Work Ready With Rhea" is the same - help the youth skill up & be readily employable.
This year Miss India-universe pageant is like a fresh air. From tiny hotel lobby event, with same looking evening gowns to all participants; from such a low budget show to this year's prodiction is really impressive. Felt like Ms India's golden age of grandure stage production from 90's is back.
Contestant number 27 Manika Suthar should feature in this list. She showed the two sides of an Indian Women : "Amba" i.e The Nurturer and "Veerangana" i.e. The Warrior. That was an act of class!!
I also saw the gown prelim, but not swimsuit - wondering if they had one?? I remember when Chhavi first competed in the USA system, she said something to the effect that it was her first time either wearing or appearing in a bikini. I don't remember her actual words, but she was speaking to something about the Indian culture.
The writings on MUI 42 costume contain names of two raped and murdered victims 'Jyoti Singh' and 'Moumita Debnath' which made sensational cases in India due to the nature of the brutality of the crime against women. It's like paying tributes to the fallen angels advocating for gender equality and justice for crimes against women.
No. 16 is Chhavi Verg, former Miss New Jersey USA 2017 and 1st runner up at Miss USA 2017. If she wins, my gosh. There will be tough competition at Miss Universe. She has beauty and brain. 🙌❤️
i wish these girls had put so much effort in their evening gowns walk, when u watch the prelims, just see, i could hardly pick 5 contestants, and even those would get easily swept away in the prelims rounds of miss universe
Hi for no 29. Why she is not wearing heels is because she is depicting Godess Durga ( Goddess of supreme Power and Universal Energy), In India we don't wear shoes when near temple or if depicting any God or goddess, it regarded as disrespectful.
I’m all about supporting shows but man I just got sent this by my India team working on our stage and book designs and the stage performance reminds of the Paris catastrophe I’m disappointed so bad with all these stages company’s “staging” for power n entitlement use discriminations of there own nation. There is a point of creativity that says “hey I’m making a statement “ but then “and I’m going to be so bold to show off! “ Yep it looks like the sirens revenge show like the last war babes did with Trump n the Russian interference. Total disgrace to the truth of the culture. I sure hope India isn’t part of the babes out to get “pay back” “money for marriage and land power” schemes again. Not just India the whole pageant

Yes. They always have explanation in Miss Grand pageants.
