I can't help but feel proud for every country and their heritage.
Many of these aren’t national costumes though. They’re often inspired by the country’s nature or culture rather than their actual national costumes
As an American, I was deeply disappointed with Miss USA. The Golden Globe statue represents Hollywood, not the nation or it's people. With all the disgusting scandals that have come out of that town in the last few years, Hollywood is the last thing I personally want used to represent my country.
Plus, the Golden Globes is literally a multi hour event in which Hollywood's elite gather together to stroke their egos and on occasion use an acceptance speech to try and lecture the Americans watching about something political.
I will say I LOVED Argentina's costume. Simple, yet beautiful and powerful. That's the one that stood out most to me.

Bulgarian! Figured it out LOL! I also liked the costume for Bulgaria mainly because I wouldn't call it a costume, I'd call it traditional dress. I think for Miss Bulgaria to choose to wear traditional clothing instead of some fashionable piece that "symbolizes" shows that she is truly proud of her country. Well done.

It is about curse. If you know history about Siamese and Cambodian, Our ancestors curse them if they try to claiming our culture, everything on Miss Cambodia costume is from Siam(Thailand), nothing coincident 😊

I really wish that Miss Hungary could have chosen traditional clothing like Miss Bulgaria. So many pretty designs and hand made.

@@tenshi3493 exactly, Poland - there were only parts of her dress which were national, traditional, as a whole thing nothing is national, traditional, especially that weird colourful ''thing" attached to that white dress. We have got national, traditional beautiful dresses but it is nothing like that what she was presenting.

Miss France, originating from the French-speaking Eastern Caribbean Islands, is gorgeous and uniquely gave tribute to American dancer, Josephine Baker who lived in France.
Josephine Baker was adopted by France and became its citizen after the U.S. rejected her due to her color/race. As a result she renounced her U.S. citizenship and declared France her country. Baker also gave of her time and talent to support France during WWII and has twice received France's highest honors for doing so. While she was born in the U.S., she was a citizen of France and strongly identified with that country.

The original people of The Americas (North America which includes Mexico, Caribbean Islands & Central America and, the continent of South America) were aborigines with skin tones ranging from very-light brown to very-dark brown to black. Native Americans today are the admixtures of the aborigines, Asian traders and European colonizers.
Also, when I said "originated", I meant where she was born and she could be a descendant of the aborigines of the Caribbean region which were the Arawak/ Ayiti/Taino and/or Carib people.
Congrats to all the designers for these wonderful costumes...each time I thought I saw the best costume immediately I saw another best coming...and the Models are all so beautiful.
I can't believe a world class beauty pageant featured a brave woman in a gorgeous ball gown covered in bloody handprints making a powerful and emotional message about violence against women. That was amazing. Btw, the United States was not a Golden Globe, that was an Emmy Award for television.
That was the real heritage of our humanity on display. Kudos.

Even tho I'm from India but still miss Peru along with the costume carried it in such a smooth way. Still, it's soooo hard to wear a heavy dress but she did it swiftly.
