OK, I couldn’t agree with you more. The beer is fantastic. For this type of a beer particular for cold weather, I don’t think you could beat it. It’s not my choice for hot weather, but for cold weather or even better still. I’ve worked with Germans in the past and we can’t avoid beer when you’re working with German . And of the things they would always say is “the first is for thirst and the second is for taste.” I don’t think this is a thirst beer. I think that goes to Rababurger. That would be my choice for first.. and it is delicious But this, with all its complexities ooohhhh! it’s a perfect second - drink this nice and slow tasting all those different notes wow! Just wow.
@@BeerBrackets favorite is franziskaner dunkel. but its hard to get here. i like my local altstadt hefe a lot, and i love good old shiner bock. I just bought some other local stuff-live oak hefe, and am about to try it for the first time right now. i am interested in trying hofbrau dunkel.
@@nojuice457 Ohhh I've never seen the franziskaner dunkel in Canada but I'll add it to my watchlist. I'll let Alessandro know to keep an eye open for it too where he is. Thanks for the recommendations!
That’s funny, you’re the second person today to request it! Unfortunately I can’t get it in Canada right now, but will definitely pick it up on my next trip down to the states.

In America you can literally get every German brew imaginable at Total Wine its just pricey but available.
So jealous! Canada has a long way to go to catch up.
The Dunkel is magic….

Its reminding u of shiner bock or negra Modelo
Definitely the shiner bock, yes!
In America they sell 12 packs of Warsteiner Pilsner and Dunkel at the grocery store for 12 dollars a pack. Warsteiner dunkel is 4.8 and is better!
I can’t get the warsteiner Dunkel in Canada but would love to try it one day!
@@BeerBrackets that seriously sucks. Warsteiner is sold at generic grocery stores for 12 99 a 12 pack. How is America ahead of Canada in beer?

Right?? It’s definitely meant to be drank slowly and savoured. Such a fantastically complex beer.
