I've tried something similar, used garlic paste that was out of date so I wouldn't use it in cooking. I've sprayed both my courgette (for snails) and roses (for greenfly) and it does seem to have worked 👍
I never have a problem with slugs as I use beer traps I have found it's the only thing that works also my greenhouse is kept ultra clean with nothing for critters to hide under like pots or trays that aren't being used I keep all these things in a separate potting shed thanks for the video ray let us know if it works.
I have heard of a spray using crushed garlic but never seen anyone use their sock to crush the garlic. I hope you don't do that in the kitchen 🤮 Then again everything will have a hint of parmesan 😋 😜

i use copper tape at the bottom of my plant pots and have no problums with them slugs and snails and you can use crushed egg shell also
