I use oak pallets when available. Oak will last longer than pine. Oak will split easily. No matter what wood or fasteners I use I drill pilot holes. I like a pallet that is more open so air can get to the compost. I hit the like button my friend 👍😊.
Thank you. I would normally use a thicker pallet but was just using what I had at present on the vegetarian garden.. The nettles behind the plot grew upto six foot tall so this way it will stop them in the bed. Cheers Ray ✅🌸🥕
Hello, thanks for this, i got my pallets to build one only yesterday then this popped up, perfect timing Ray, it looks great, thanks and take good care
Morning Ray. Goodness you did those fast. Do you put different waste in each bin ? Are these just for your plot or the entire allotment so everyone shares them? (Sorry don’t understand how these work and curious) . Do they need a lid or covering of any kind? . I only ask as the shop purchased ones have covers generally . Thanks again for saring. I don’t have the space for all that in my garden lol. 🦋
Hi Kerry. We will fill one bin up then when that’s full transfer it to the second bin then by the time the first bin will be full again the second bin can be moved into the third and will be ready to use as storage . Cheers Ray
Covering the compost with a piece or carpet or rug will do the trick. Just one bin will be fine for a small garden or two to transfer the bins .cheers Ray ✅🌸🥕

Thanks for the inspiration Ray. I'm going to be making a 3 bin compost bay soon. This has helped enormously. Cheers
Thank you that’s great to hear. You could also add a front onto the bays if needed. I may do this once start getting filled . cheers Ray ✅🌸🥕
Fantastic video thanks so much Ray. I'm definitely going to look at replacing my dalek with something like this over winter
Darkens are ok for small space but hard to mix contents up when needed Cheers Ray ✅🌸🥕
Haha glad to know I’m not the only one who has two left gloves
I end up with all sorts of gloves even ladies gloves some days Lol Cheers Ray ✅🌸🥕
