- April/May 2021 - Butler Village Honeymoon Romeo & Juliet One Bedroom Villa Suite with Private Pool Sanctuary - RJ. My girlfriend of 9 years was upgraded to fiance' on this trip. I actually proposed on her birthday. My only issue with Sandals, and maybe I'm being a little picky, is the fact they do not have adequate pictures or videos of their rooms and suites on the website. In my opinion when you are paying $1k+ USD per night for a room, it would be nice to have more pictures and/or video. I'm not a photographer or videographer and I've done no editing, so you get what you get! I hope it helps!
Thank you so much for posting!!!! We're booked for this suite for October for our Honeymoon and I've been hoping that someone would post a video regarding the room. All the other ones are over a year old and I wanted to make sure the rooms were still as nice as I had seen. Also, really helpful information. Thank you and congrats!!!!!
You’re very welcome! I’m sure you guys will really enjoy the room! I’m sure all the butlers are phenomenal but if you remember, request Robert and Josie. Robert was extra phenomenal, he really made my engagement special.. Candlelit dinner on the beach. ‘Will U Marry Me’ was written in the sand with rose petals and candles, picking us up with our favorite drinks already made, the list goes on and on.. It was a vacation we will never forget!
My girlfriend and I just booked one of these rooms for later this room. We're REALLY excited about it, great to see a tour/review of the resort and specifically the Romeo & Juliet room.
Very nice video. I'm going to save this to my favorites.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing.
This was a nice video of the butler level. I’ve been on the fence about booking butler level. I think I’ve made up my mind…Butler level it will be. My trip will be next year but I’m doing all my research early. Congratulations on getting engaged to your fiancé. I will be celebrating my 15 year anniversary next year. Take care
You will definitely enjoy and I wouldn’t go any other way. If you are able request Robert and Josie as butlers, they were phenomenal! We are having our wedding at Sandals Royal Bahamian and Robert suggested a butler for us there. Congrats on the 15 years!
@@ShakaDaMan ditto!!! Thanks for info. Trying to find something for 25th anniversary coming up in July. Have always wanted "over the water" cabana/villa. So, were you able to visit ""ALL the Sandals resorts" since you were a registered guest? We'd like to visit one with casino (if such exist) once again, thanks for your valuable info
And congrats to you both!!!
@@candicehobbs5853 Hi there! You can’t go wrong with Sandals! So I’m not completely sure, but I was told that as guests of Sandals Ochi we could not visit other resorts such as Sandals Montego Bay, however guests of Montego Bay could visit Ochi.
Congratulations on your engagement!!!
Thank you!
OH! Thank you for your video! My husband and I went to Ochi in August for our 18th wedding anniversary! We did the Butler village!
Thank you for this detailed tour of this suite. My fiance and I will be staying in a Romeo and Juliet Suite in September this year. I have a question... how close is the other suite? I pulled the resort up on Google Earth and it appears these suites are the furthest from the club and looks to be only 7 buildings. Is there another suite behind the pool wall; or are they separated buildings? How was the pool temp and did it get a lot of sun? Thanks for your help! Is it a decent walk to the great house?
Just booked in mid November! Did you get sunshine on the sunbeds in the suite for the whole afternoon? Thats the only thing that worries me as it’s great, but looks like the sun would only be there for a few hours a day! Any info much appreciated!
If I recall we got decent sun from about 9am until 3ish..
Did you get the Sandals transport to Ochi As you came in to Jamaica the day before Or did you have private transport sport
So that’s an interesting story. We did arrange to have a private car through Sandals however, we had to picked up from the airport. So we had to return the airport the morning of the day of our Sandals booking and due to the rigid COVID protocols at the time of our visit we were not allowed back in the airport and had to coordinate our pick up with Sandals from outside the terminal. I’m sure it’s different now..
What excursions did you take? I am heading there with a large group in July and I’m trying to figure out the best way to navigate the resort. I’m looking for suggestions as to what pools were best to lounge by, what bars had the fast service, what things I can do to get faster service, and things like that. Was there anything you wished you had known prior to going to this resort? If you were going to go to this resort again how else would you prepare and is there anything you would bring that others may not think of? Great video, thank you for the information.
We took 2 excursions, the Dunn’s River Fall Catamaran cruise, and would recommend it 100%, especially if you were in a group. It’s a party party boat and it was a blast. We also did the ATV ride that included cliff jumping. I would not suggest that excursion, the cliff jumping was fun but the ATV ride was very boring and not scenic. For that excursion a bus picks you up from the resort with other people from other resorts. We actually had a swim with dolphin excursion planned but missed it because we were waiting on other people to finish other excursions that rode the same bus as us. We wished we would have taken the beach horse back ride. I also wanted to play golf at the very picturesque course next to resort but didn’t get the opportunity. There’s a white party on one of the nights and wished I would have brought an all white suit/outfit and shoes. Something we did that I felt was a good idea but just needs a little planning, we sandwiched our Sandals Ochi vacation between a day pre and a day post in Montego Bay. We live in a smaller city with only a regional airport and it takes 2 flights to get to most destinations. So our flight into Montego Bay arrived mid afternoon and there is an 1 1/2 hour ride to Ochi, so we opted to stay the night at S Hotel in Montego Bay and head to Ochi first thing in morning where we could enjoy a whole day, rather than just dinner and crashing from traveling the first night due to traveling all day.
Of course we had a private pool, we also enjoyed the bar by the beach where there was large floating floats you could relax in. All the bars had great service and if your have a butler he/she can bring you drinks wherever you are.
@@ShakaDaMan Awesome! Thank you so much for the information. I find myself trying to get as much background information on the resort and things to do there from people who have been especially as we get closer to our July travel date. I will pass on all of your information to our group. Thanks again so much
what is the website that you went to to put your preferences down?
Wish we had seen this before we actually booked and went. It was the most crappiest room we have ever been given. So old fashioned. What idiot wants a HUGE mahogany four poster bed that you cannot get into ! I suspect he Americans like it! Everything was old dank and really lacking in anything romantic.... I suppose some people get seduced by the petals and candles etc but we always look past that crap! Where was the so called 'fully equipped kitchenette' a sink, coffee maker and fridge do NOT qualify for that description. The lampshades had holes on them - the curtains looked as if the had been washed and shrunk and not iron - the furniture veneers were coming off. There was no kerb appeal at all seemed it was an after through stuck at the end of the estate and forgotten. So many many issues. We refused to stay in it and it was a case of give us another room or get us a flight home - it was that crappy. Upshot Dont go here !
🤡🤡🤡🤡
Thank you for your comment, and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, however I find it in poor taste and manners to call others idiots simply because of their nationality or that their taste and preferences doesn’t align with yours. Furthermore, dare I say that it would have been more prudent and intelligent to have researched the room and resort prior to visiting. You might have been happier with a different resort, however clearly you didn’t. I suspect you were seduced by the value and affordability of the resort and ignored or failed to inquire the fact as to why. So as I tell my kids, ‘that’s on you sister’. Having said that we find the mahogany and post beds very elegant and posh. Ochi is an older resort, however it is currently in the process of being updated and remodeled. Dare I say there no other Sandals resort with as much to do as Ochi. I’ve travelled the world many times over and have stayed in 5 star hotels and have even flown in private jets , and if I wanted to, I could have nit pick every one of my experiences, however there’s something to be said about accepting things for what they are and enjoying the moment. We enjoy Ochi and everything it has to offer, even if my wife needs to have a stool to step in the bed. 🤣. In closing everyone has their opinion and taste as to their threshold of acceptability, however it’s in poor taste to be insulted for such.
