My father-in-laws 2017 Acura RDX has a parasitic drain. I cannot find the HFL unit. I tried the center console and will try again. Does anyone know where this unit is located on the 2017 RDX? Thank you.
According to Prodemand it's located behind the passenger side kick panel, inside the car forward of the passenger door should be a plastic panel that's removable and the HFL should be located there. Hope that helps
I have a 2008 Acura MDX n I don’t have blue tooth in car but my car does die after 3 days of not turning on is that part still in there I dont know anything about cars sorry that’s why I’m asking you lol n thank you.
Sounds like you have a battery draw but its hard to tell what the cause is, or if you have the same parts in your car without looking into wiring diagrams.
I can look at work and get back to you tomorrow 👍 in the meantime I found a video showing the location on an 06 tsx: ua-cam.com/video/jsPUhLCgR1M/v-deo.html Hopefully that will help
Good question! Unfortunately the customer chose not to replace the part so we never could confirm afterwards if the new module would've needed programming although I assume it would need it. I can do some research and try to find out 100% though, stay posted 👍
Ok so, it looks to me like according to the procedure given by Acura to replace the HFL that there is no reprogramming needed afterwards. Hopefully that helps but if you do replace one and find out that it is needed please come back and leave a comment and let us know. Thank you for the question.
Hi! This is happening to my Acura tl 2006. We changed the radio fuse and the battery and it was okay for like a month, but it just happened again. Could it be something similar?
If you dont have access to special tools to diagnose the draw o the system then unfortunately I would recommend taking it to a shop that you trust to do the electrical diagnostic
Excellent ,thank you so much ,that was Exactly our issue too
Happened with my 2008 TL as well. Major problem for older Acuras, though I think they've fixed it with later models.
Nice find! Thanks!
No problem!

Yes it was

It could definitely be a similar issue, especially if you've put in a new battery recently and it still drains too quickly.
I have the same problem. Took out the hfl but still the battery dies. Replalce ac clutch relay and stereo still dies. Any recomendation?
