A train with containers is almost like Amtrak, it’s a priority train. Has priority traffic. Where as if the railroad were to delay a train, it would have more than likely been a lower priority train like a train with mixed rolling stock(boxcars, lumber/paper, tanker cars) or any other type of train.
That would almost be impossible because the longest train was only 600 cars and that's only two locomotives so most likely that'd be only 8000/9000 HP which would be nowhere near enough HP to pull a train that long
Was norfolk southern not warned about the parade? They should have called NS, informing them of the parade, then NS could slow the train down around the crossing
