    Using a plugin that uses math to simulate the sound of analog hardware to recreate tones from a hardware unit that uses math to steal the tone of analog hardware. Brilliant. Someday someone will make build a tube amp to recreate the sound of this plugin!

    Damn that’s so close! The kemper by itself has more “oomph”, but to my ears the plugin is sitting better in the mix. Well done you guys seriously 🔥🔥🔥

      Thats what i was thinking, and i already have the Kemper. For $90 it's probably worth it just for the convenience when home-recording

  • @TheHouseofKushTV
    @TheHouseofKushTV 2 роки тому

    I hear a fuller (but tight) 150Hz with the Kemper, and a boxier 1k presence with the plugin, so the Kemper marries better with the bass and gels into the mix a bit more to my ears. Not sure if that's just a difference between settings or baked into the sound of the tech, and probably doesn't matter to most folks. I'm a fan of darker/warmer sounds, so 'grain of salt' etc.

    I tried trail so far.Sounds better then any STL plugins i tested, we get only 3 amps but they sound extremely good,musical and dynamic for playing.Imho the best plugin for metal on the market so far. Plugin has more high end bite. That is the only difference I hear.

    • @erzsebetdeak8807

      Yeah. I tried Putney's plugin and it's basically a fizzbox, haven't found a single usable, not fizzy tone that I was able to work with. Benson's is more rock oriented, but I kinda liked that one. This one though... Best all-round plugin I've ever heard.

    I notice a bug in the plug in. I use it in a guitar bus in stereo mode. For some reason it switches to mono at random, even when it display is set to stereo. I have to switch it to mono and back to stereo to correct that. Other than that the plug ins is pretty good.

    Wondering what the signal flow here is.
    I'd the Kemper being recorded via SPDIF out?
    Is STL Tonality being fed the same exact DI as the Kemper?
    Was the DI taken from the Kemper or something else?
    If a DI is being fed to the Kemper, is it via SPDIF or via analog inputs?
    All this stuff is good to know!
    The plug-in sounds slightly thinner, but there are huge advantages to it.. Since you can run as many instances as you want and don't have to have the Kemper all connected all the time.
    You can't after all run stereo at the same time to make adjustments without having two Kempers hooked up!

    • @justsomerandomguyman
      @justsomerandomguyman 3 роки тому

      It's the exact opposite, and I think you'll find most people agree in the comments. The plugin has more presence/treble here. Other than that, they are extremely similar. So, it's not really a problem. You could always make the Kemper profiles a little brighter or the plugin a little darker.
