Using a plugin that uses math to simulate the sound of analog hardware to recreate tones from a hardware unit that uses math to steal the tone of analog hardware. Brilliant. Someday someone will make build a tube amp to recreate the sound of this plugin!
I hear a fuller (but tight) 150Hz with the Kemper, and a boxier 1k presence with the plugin, so the Kemper marries better with the bass and gels into the mix a bit more to my ears. Not sure if that's just a difference between settings or baked into the sound of the tech, and probably doesn't matter to most folks. I'm a fan of darker/warmer sounds, so 'grain of salt' etc.
I tried trail so far.Sounds better then any STL plugins i tested, we get only 3 amps but they sound extremely good, musical and dynamic for playing.Imho the best plugin for metal on the market so far. Plugin has more high end bite. That is the only difference I hear.
Yeah. I tried Putney's plugin and it's basically a fizzbox, haven't found a single usable, not fizzy tone that I was able to work with. Benson's is more rock oriented, but I kinda liked that one. This one though... Best all-round plugin I've ever heard.
I can tell the difference between a Mesa and a Peavey. Does that mean one is worse or better than the other? No, it's all about personal taste. It's the same with the plugin.
got a Kemper after wanting one for a while and selling my Axe Fx, I think Kemper has really bad pick attack, actually selling it since I have enough plugins to satisfy me and getting actual amps.
I notice a bug in the plug in. I use it in a guitar bus in stereo mode. For some reason it switches to mono at random, even when it display is set to stereo. I have to switch it to mono and back to stereo to correct that. Other than that the plug ins is pretty good.
Wondering what the signal flow here is. I'd the Kemper being recorded via SPDIF out? Is STL Tonality being fed the same exact DI as the Kemper? Was the DI taken from the Kemper or something else? If a DI is being fed to the Kemper, is it via SPDIF or via analog inputs? All this stuff is good to know! The plug-in sounds slightly thinner, but there are huge advantages to it.. Since you can run as many instances as you want and don't have to have the Kemper all connected all the time. You can't after all run stereo at the same time to make adjustments without having two Kempers hooked up!
It's the exact opposite, and I think you'll find most people agree in the comments. The plugin has more presence/treble here. Other than that, they are extremely similar. So, it's not really a problem. You could always make the Kemper profiles a little brighter or the plugin a little darker.
I tried the plugin and when i try to up the volume to match like a commercial song's loudness you start to here a lot of pops and cracks and start to hurt your ear, i guess thats the downside of amp sims they all have this characteristics from what ive experienced
@@STLTones well at first i thought that was the problem or maybe my interface was defective but i downloaded different di's from lasse lammert and others to test, and got same problem, any other suggestion on what could be the problem? Or how to solve it?
I think he said its the focusrite 6i6. I got an 2i2 today and it sounds the same like in the video. Before that i had an audient id14, but the di coloured the tone which was very hearable when playing lead. And i didnt like that.
no name if you can’t hear the differences, I’m afraid its you who are deaf here. but you probably have a problem telling your ass from your junk so its ok.

STL Tones- you’ve struck gold with this partnership and this suite- I’m so stoked to get this on my computer!
Thank you so much Anthony!
Andy James guitar playing is fantastic, but he doesn’t get enough credit as the voice for Geico auto insurance.
He's pretty humble that's why😊
I realize it is kind of off topic but does anyone know a good site to stream newly released tv shows online ?
I love the plugin tone... both rhythm and lead tone. They sound more widely yet lively. I can feel it.

Baudrillard's paradise.
Haha on point
Well, they did build a pedal to emulate the one in the plugin version :p
It’s a great idea having an affordable version of a “kemper”
The plug in sounds more three dimensional to my ears! Absolutely killer job!
Hey thank you so much Bradley. We appreciate it!
Its because the stereo delay. The kemper was completely mono.
Damn that’s so close! The kemper by itself has more “oomph”, but to my ears the plugin is sitting better in the mix. Well done you guys seriously 🔥🔥🔥
Thats what i was thinking, and i already have the Kemper. For $90 it's probably worth it just for the convenience when home-recording

You can give Andy a Ukulele and he will rock it absolute BEAST
its subtle but you can tell, they both sound rad to me.
love you man🤘
OMG the plug in sounds killer. 😍
Hey thank you so much! We’re very proud of it!
i just bought mine and i love it
Woooh sounds fantastic.... can't differentiate between the 2 really
Drums sound FANTASTIC!, are those a vst or something?
I think without the plug-in sounded like it had more bite to it. But I've always loved the live amp sound.
Used STL plugins...... Its absolutely fantastic...... Just one thing I would love to have Marc 2c+amp model in STL plugins 😊

I can tell the diifference. That doesn't mean the plugin is bad
yeah, sure...you can tell the difference...surely you can't tell the difference in a blind test.

That plugin was definitely more clear saving up for my pc and interface👌
I love the pick attack more in the plug in then in the Kemper. The plug in doesn't hold back your picking like the Kemper does.
got a Kemper after wanting one for a while and selling my Axe Fx, I think Kemper has really bad pick attack, actually selling it since I have enough plugins to satisfy me and getting actual amps.
Both are excellent. The plugin has more presence.
Awesome plugin man.... And my guitar god sir andy james... Hats off... U r really guitar hero of mine man..

What's the name of that music track you are using for this video? New or probably a song I missed.

THANK YOU ANDY EXCELLENT
my hero!!
I prefer plugins nowadays...suit with now and future generations plus of coz the sounds are awesomely killer
the plugin is way better .. I dont know what is .. maybe its dynamics.. but the melodies sound a lot better with it
Andy , you maniac !
He’s a beast
what the STO mean at 2:06
If you can't hear any difference, why would you prefer the plugin? Just cause of ease of use maybe? Not being an ass just curious.
@Andrei James makes sense
Is a stand-alone version included?
Yes, stand-alone option is included
@@STLTones thanks for the quick reply.
Your product sounds amazing. Cheers.
Is there a demo version?
Yes, there's a 10 day trial.
you can download 10 day trial version from stltones.com
Thanks
@@STLTones I´ve downloaded the trial but FL Studio can´t recognize it ... I use the current version of Fl Studio.

That’s an issue with clipping your tracks, not the plugin itself.

@@npaz24 you shouldn’t be clipping the output of your tracks, that will solve your issue.
Are this usuable in reaper?
Of course
What interface are you recording directly into to get your DI so good?

Asked my wife to make a blind test for me. Result: I gave 6/7 correct answers, but they really very similar.
3:22 - Kemper
3:44 - Plugin
i couldn't hear any difference that's insane !
Is that toque sewn into his scalp? Seriously dude Oo
The Kemper has more bass to it.
Kemper is a little "woolier".
Sounds like a lazy eq matching. Totally diff character and no low end
