Hilary MInster (died 1999) great actor. Had appeared in the 1975 Dr. Who story "Genesis Of the Daleks" as a unnamed Thal soldier. Also was in "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" and "Crossroads". His rich distinctive voice was perfect for voice-overs, as his narration for the seven-part ITV series "The Men Who Killed Kennedy" proved. God Bless Hilary Minster.

This character gives depth to the comedy, which otherwise could be a little bland. He is the typical Prussian army general.
