It was funny when the ATC asked the UPS 747 for a wing shake (like they do for the smaller planes) so he could verify where the 747 was! I think they did it too. After the 747 landed, the UPS pilots shot back at the ATC that they didn't get a welcome to Oshkosh and of course the ATC replied with welcome to Oshkosh!
Wow, that aircraft was certified June 28th of 2019! And the APU is louder than I thought it would have been! That is the most impressive and spectacular video I have seen of any 747, let alone the -8f!
Ha! The queen of the skies has arrived how awesome! What a great vantage point. Man I wish I could be there. I will be there next year that for sure...
see these every nite flying into UPS worrldport here in Louisville KY the hub for UPS from about 10 pm till midnight as i live in the landing pattern of the airport another cool thing is they land them two at a time on two separate runways at one time
Wow...just Wow! I thought it was going to need the whole runway. but no. For a second I thought the tail ID said This side up. Great shot with that Ford three engine in the back
...twin jets may have taken over, but the 747 will always the be "Queen of the Skies" even if she only carries cargo. A half century since it first took to the skies. Seems like only yesterday as I still have memories of seeing the first 747 land In Milwaukee, (a Pan Am flight diverted from O'Hare due to weather and mechanical issues in spring of 1970). Flew on several 747s over the years, including across the Atlantic and back from Hawai'i. There will never be an aircraft quite like her again. Ironic that the big attraction is a cargo rather than passenger version of the venerable giant as in a way as its roots stem from the CX-HLS competition to develop a high capacity strategic transport for the USAF that could load and haul oversized payloads. While Lockheed won with their C-5, the idea wasn't totally scrapped by Boeing, as Juan Trippe was interested in an aircraft that could carry a larger passenger load than a 707 or DC-8 could for Pan Am. In its early development stage, the 747 was actually considered an interim aircraft as it was thought that supersonic transports like the 2707 and Concorde would be the wave of the future and take over long range overseas operations. Hence Boeing designed the 747 at the time with the idea of conversion to a freighter in mind. So in a way, given that passenger carriers today are retiring their 747s in favour of long rage twin jets, and the -8F, has outsold -8I, the 747 has sort of come full circle. Also nice seeing one of Boeing's former "giants", the B-29, in the background as well.
all the pilots there have to get their packages somehow while they there I guess....LOL, by the way, about how much horsepower do those tow vehicles actually have, cause that plane weighs at least 735,000 pounds.....

Absolutely most beautiful and awe inspiring airplane in the skies... EVER!!!!!! IMHO.
STOPsign and made in the USA 🇺🇸 !!!!!

Balls of steel to be that close to a running 747-8 engine
Carefully taxiing in that monster! Great job to the ground crew! I felt like I was there on the taxiway / ramp! Thank you for the camera work !!!!
yes indeed......awesome closeups of this magnificent beautiful badass aircraft...just standing it looks graceful and fast...
If only Wilbur and Orville were able to hitch a time machine ride forward to tour this beauty, their reaction would without doubt be priceless.
The "Queen" never looked so good! Just WOW!!!!!
747-8 to B-17 and KC-135: "Hi, Grandmas! ♥️"
lol
The Queen makes a better graceful landing to EAA AirVenture than the A-380 did a few years ago.
I don't know but this is the coolest thing I have ever seen in my life.
My #1 favorite plane, the 747-8F.
I have enough trouble parallel parking my Ford Focus. That Captain parked ol' Big Bird as slick as you please. Far out!

First part of video: YAWN... I have seen planes land before.
Plane turns towards me: SITS UP AND STARTS GRINNING!
So cool! Lucky camera operator!
Great ad for Boeing AND UPS. Both from the Great Pacific northwest!

It's pretty clear who wins the "mines bigger than yours" contest. 🤣🤣
That little tug was like hey a little help here.
its the biggest GA aircraft in the field lol

now THAT is a definite WOW @dave nelson!
I can't think of any other ramp that would have a ramp with a 747 and a Ford Trimotor on it!
That was a very cool shot!!
And the aeroshell team parked on the grass
all Bow - the Queen has arrived. Gorgeous!
Great capture I had the experience of downloading and loading an Atlas 747 and UPS 747 unfortunately not the 7478F
So bummed I had to work this week. I really wanted to be there to see this thing. Thanks for posting this video.
Dang, only used about half of the runway to get stopped, impressive for sure.
Empty with min fuel......not a prob
definitely not noobs in the wheelhouse.
Sam Stroup there was a nearly 40 year Captain at the controls.
Now THIS is some really good footage!
Wow...just Wow! I thought it was going to need the whole runway. but no. For a second I thought the tail ID said This side up.
Great shot with that Ford three engine in the back
Its good the engines didn't suck in some ultra-lights.
I saw it this week (Wednesday) and it is a monster!!! Holy crap that thing is HUGE
How to fit a 747 into a small space in one easy lesson. Full marks to the ground handlers 👍
We do it every night at ksdf
Awesome! Can't wait to see it tomorrow!
Much better landing than the A380 did back in 2009.

at least someone got the 747 landing, all the live cams panned into the crowds when this was on final
I envy you , so close I'm deaf and would love to hear and feel the power.
New !!!! Ff. June 8, 2.019. Delivered to UPS June 27, 2.019
Could imagine Actor Bill Murray exits this plane. Champagne bottle, I’m really to party
Notice that every other aircraft stopped for the Queen of the skies.
Gave us goosebumps!
AMAZING ! 😊👏👏👏👏👏👍
That thing is a monster. I wonder how it compares to a C-5
C-5 is bigger, like a lot bigger.
iTz JLAR 747-8 is longer, wider, faster, heavier, hauls more !!!! Just better at everything !!!!!
@@jamesburleson1916 NOPE !!! Go check the specs !!!!!
Saw the Antonov 225 land at FLL with a cargo of Italian sports cars in 2000....now that is big...had to put it by itself on the West Tarmac.HUGE

lol, I have to go to this show...when is it?
Making a delivery?
You know the 747 is a big bird but not until it passes by something much smaller do you realize how big it is.
I wish they could have just park it in the grass among some Cessnas.

great vid. I thought everything had winglets these days?

Andrew Silva it's not just Horse power it's also gearing Plus some other factors like weight of the vehicle.
I wouldn't wanna be that close to the inlet...
When it was coming up the taxiway I swore I saw guys on the right making sure the tie downs on their bipes were secure.
Beauty... 😊
That's a biggie
What's it doing there? Dropping off toys for the show, or as a "look at our giant ass bird" display?
How long is the runway there?
Runway 36 is 8002 ft long
@@rgiles6148 Thanks. Didn't look like they used a whole lot of it on landing which is impressive.
Being empty and probably a light load of fuel to get there and back. They won't need much to land or take off.
Landing roll was under 3000 ft..@@socomon69
