I flew from Sacramento to Anchorage on a 747 back in January of '82. There were only a couple dozen passengers on board and we basically had the run of the place. The stewards were bored so they passed out freebies of snacks and booze which was lucky for me because it fortified me for the extreme cold that Anchorage was experiencing that winter.
