How crazy is the media in relation to NCAA gymnastics? I know they can be unforgiving to baseball, football, and basketball but I can’t see them laying into Graba or the team because gymnastics is such a niche sport.

That's good for the them they shouldn't be penalize for being former Olympians or for making money off their name when these universities make massive money off their athletes too.
The rules are if you went professional you can't compete in NCAA. So you couldn't get money for winning medles, the rules changed that you could make money from your name image and likeness but not from doing gymnastics as you would be classed as professional
@@Sunflower_vally Its still ridiculous where 1st rate universities makes millions off their sport programs but the student athlete only gets a full ride scholarship. $30,40,50 million dollar revenue > $200,000 4 yr scholarship. It's not even remotely close. They should have some sort of delayed pension program where when the student turns 30 they will receive some sort of one lump sum payment of 700k or something like that. But that's just me. Universities make money off their athletes but God forbid you make money off your university. It's borderline fraudulent

If you’re not famous and is given the opportunity to go to college, then you would take it. Also, she was already committed to go to Auburn way before the olympics. Plus her personal coach is the Auburn coaches twin brother. Truthfully, I believe it doesn’t matter which college you go to, as long you do well in school.
