    That bus is a VanHool Exquicity, 24 meters long. They drive on 3 different routes here now, route 1, 2 and 3.
    It's a diesel-hybrid, diesel-engine runs a generator and electric motors drive the 2 mid axles.
    But we also have fully electric busses in Trondheim now, Volvo (12 meters) and Heulieze (18 meter articulated).

    The washer fluid is blue because it's concentrated as they forgot to top it up with water. It happened to me on my M3P after collection. Also the Dot4 fluid wasn't topped up either. Lacking QC.

    Porch! Nice Raven with Ludicrous Pawel. Oh I like the tablet streaming...
    You can hum a song and UA-cam Content ID RoboCopyright BS Bot will throw the hammer at your monitization.
    Anyway I like some the roads to Trondheim. It's like secondary routes around here. Though no mountain ridges.
    Browser has some GPS bugs still but very very nice now days.
    Pawel sounded like he was seeing the loss when realizing you might go for Ionity

  • @frosto7
    @frosto7 5 років тому

    Only some of the smaller buses in Trondheim can run on electricity. The long 24m metro-buses that can bend in 2 places are series hybrids that run on HVO biodiesel. The wheels are driven by 2 electric motors on 2 axles, but there is only a small battery to let the biodiesel engine run more evenly and efficiently and to recover energy when breaking. I do not know if the battery can be charged directly, but even if it can, it will be just a small percentage of the energy. I have not found data specifically for the Trondheim metro-buses but assume they are about the same as the previous such buses imported to Norway: 2 x 180kw electric motors, 36kwh battery, 206 kW biodiesel engine at 2200rpm fixed speed. These buses are about 36 metric tons fully loaded (equivalent to about 24 cars) so they are NOT quick, and have trouble attaining a decent speed uphill. The whole bus fleet was changed out with 113 (41%) biogas buses, 142 (47%) HVO diodiesel busses including the 58 metro-buses and finally 35 (12%) 12m and 18m battery electric buses. The battery electric buses are charged briefly but superfast (max 450kw) at endpoints plus at the depots where a few electric buses can charge superfast and the rest overnight at regular CCS chargers.

    • @peterzerfass4609
      @peterzerfass4609 5 років тому +4

      I think at this point it makes no difference for all practical purposes. At those kinds of distances (and beyond) you never know how traffic is going to be. So calculating with "a few minutes less because I have this Tesla vs. that Tesla" is more of a theoretical excercise than a real world effect. (Of cousrse "this Tesla" vs "that non-Tesla" will still have significant impact on time as could be seen by the eCannonball in germany a few weeks ago)

    I really think if Tesla had upgraded the Model S and X interiors they’d be selling a lot more of them. Little things like the really old steering wheel and turn signal/gear selector stalks don’t feel premium or even as nice as the ones in the Model 3 and the steering wheel is so freaking huge! It feels like it’s twice the size it needs to be. I also much prefer the 3’s landscape orientation for the screen vs. the S/X’s portrait layout.
    My range is also decreasing like Bjorn’s in my P3D+. Mine is down to 259mi at 90% and 288mi at 100%, compared to 279mi/310mi when new.

    • @Torben1411
      @Torben1411 5 років тому

      I’m obviously not Bjørn but I’ll answer your question anyway from my point of view. It depends of course on if you need the extra space in the Model S. But let me assume you don’t since you’re considering the Model 3. For 50k you’d get a SR+ M3 or a pre facelift MS 85 or with some luck maybe a Dual Motor one which will be a little more efficient. If that’s important which is another interesting factor: What’s your plan with the car?
      Model S is charging slower but has more battery capacity and the extra space is incredibly big, especially in the RWD frunk. I had 3 bikes and 3 people in my Model S for mountain biking tours. 😳
      Anyway. I’d gladly help you if you specify your use a little more.

      Disagree. Optimus Prime looked like a black car during the dark Norwegian winters. Having a white car is quite refreshing.

    Model 3 performance is software limited. If they unlocked it's full performance it would smoke the heavier model S.

      The Model 3 Performance simply doesn't have a batter pack capable of outputting the same amount of continuous power, a powerful enough inverter, and motors as the S LR Performance.
