Is anyone else looking at the yarn and hearing "wants the precious!" in their head? Or is everyone just angsting over the woman wasting an enormous 4 freakin inches of her own yarn? NOT ours. Hers. People, get. a. freakin. life. And admire the pretty
Why on earth would you have us **specifically** chain 53 to start, then just "cut off extra chains" once you work the first row? This is very wasteful. Just tell us the "multiple" for the stitch used and how many chains to make the pattern shown.
Maybe this chain cutting thing is what makes it a Japanese pattern, because I learned this as a kid 30 years ago and it was most definitely not from Japan back then and otherwise identical.
Every joiner I’ve worked with asks for a 6 inch length. If she unchains the stitches not used, added to the short length she started with, she’ll have the preferred 6 inch length. As a PS, I think it’s a great tip to make extra chains in patterns where the beginning count is important, so that you don’t get to the end of the foundation row and find out you miscounted to begin with.
@@rosem5044If you learn to count your stitches/chains that isn't a problem. You will never learn to count correctly if you just whack off the "extra". This is lazy crochet and very wasteful.
That is a beautiful pattern, and you picked a perfect yarn to show it off! Thanks for sharing!
Oh my! This would make a lovely cardigan or poncho😊
Thank you for sharing ❤
i have always loved and adored various of Asian Art and that also includes being Japanese crochet patterns. of the best of the best kind!!!
Is there a written pattern for this. It's so pretty
Beautiful pattern, thank you for sharing 🎉🎉❤
This is very pretty.
Why would you crochet a specific number of starter chains just to cut them off? Other than that it’s a nice pattern and I love the yarn.
Please tell us what brand of yarn this is and what color way as well. It is so lovely and the stitch pattern is gorgeous. Thank You.
I love this pattern. I'll make something with it very soon. Thank you!
This is so beautiful I can't wait to make it

So lovely, good work. Thanks for the tutorial. ✨️💖✨️
Super pretty
Beautiful!!
What yarn is this please??
Where can I find that pretty yarn in the thumbnail? What store sells it? Nice design by the way.
Really nice ❤
Very pretty ❤
Very nice!
What's the brand and color of yarn? I know it's a worsted weight cotton but love the color wave
Yeah, I don't think so. Looks like acrylic to me.
What happened to being grateful...
What kind of yarn is this? It’s stunning!
Worsted cotton
What yarn are you using here?
This was started as new cardigan. Where is the finished product.
Maybe she hasn’t finished yet
3dc + 9dc is 12dc, not 11. 🤷🏼♀️
Japanese crochet? This pattern has been around for years.
So has Japan
@xaraxania Title is more like click bait. Many thinking it was something unusual from what is out there.
Show the item first. I just fast-forwarded the video to the end to find out what you’re doing.
@@diba412Well, when the title says ‘jacket,’ you kinda expect to see a jacket not a swatch.
In my day 3dc + 9dc made 12dc not 11dc. Now what do I do? 11 or 12.
I think it must have been a typo…she did 3 +8 DC to get 11 total. 😊

This isn’t the first time I’ve seen her cut off like that. I think she’s showing off her technique. Who knows??????
Why watch if all you do is complain...
How is she getting 3dc +9dc = 11dc? 3+9 is 12...
It's called "New Math" 😂😂 @@jennys7735

Nice pattern, but what a waste. I would make enough chains for the stitches instead. That was at least 4 inches of yarn wasted .
