Great video! We need more done trails in the winter!
Yes we do
It's supposed to be an adventure if you want Signs stay on the thru way
Great video! Lots of good info.
Glad it was helpful!
Just found your UA-cam site. I’ve been writing to Pennsylvania DCNR asking for more opportunities to ride to any of the Pennsylvania water falls. I’m an advocate of getting the trails closer to the Pa Grand Canyon. The west rim is now accessible but parking lot at the overlook for ATV riders is not completed. The state has placed an additional fee on this access to the Grand Canyon pilot program. Looking for more trails connecting the east to the west through Potter, Tioga, Bradford linking the northern tier to the Poconos. Thanks for this forum.
Yes, I was happy to see. They extended the regional Trail pilot for another two years. I did read the report. I know that 75% of the residents weren’t happy with the regional trails but for the amount of business that it brings in hoping that they continue it and expand it with more roadways. I’ve only seen the small section of it, but love riding haneyville, lyman run, whiskey Springs, bloody skillet and SSRT and hope that they all will be connected one day.
I have been watching your channel for about 2 years now, and I don't miss to many of them. Here in south eastern Pa, my go to regular is Machaux. Been to the Bloody skillet once and enjoyed it. I would love to try the Sudquehannock ATV Trail out of Lyman lake SP. Our mountain cabin isn't to far from There. Love watching your channel. Randy.
Thank you very much, those are on my list. Definitely have to finish a few more in PA before the seasons over.
Can you do a video explaining what passes are required to ride on DCNR/ state forest land in PA? They seem to want to make it confusing as possible. For example, do you need a seperate pass to ride on the Allegheny state forest land in Bradford/McKean county, or does the DCNR pass work?
I'll add it to our PA trails listing to-do projects. looks like according to: www.fs.usda.gov/main/allegheny/passes-permits/recreation it is a separate $35/yr fee for the trails. Looking at them now there are a few: go.usa.gov/xREKN I'll see what I can find and ride this year. Will give the field offices a call and see what I can find out and put something together.
I like the DCNR trails. The new PILOT system in the northern tier is probably my favorite. i took my wife to the PILOT trails to teach her about riding off road because those trails are very easy, now we go there quite often. It is good to see DCNR is expanding its systems.
Very cool! I just wish PA would provide some winter atv-only non-hunting trails, some of us enjoy the snow! But yes, I will be out there in a week or so, then end of the season for a few nights. If you're up for any weekday riding, look me up, would love to ride (Id bring the grizzly) thebeatentrailllc at gmail dot c om
It would be nice, but I understand the reason why they close, hunting season. Everyone has to have their fair share use of the state lands and I respect that. Today we rode from Haneyville, to Germania and ended at Galeton, ate lunch and rode the same route back, around 100 miles. Great trails. They are supposed to be opening another state system, likely next year by Hazleton at the former Paragon Adventure park. It will be bikes, ATV, SXS, jeeps etc. First of its kind run by the state where multi use off road vehicles are allowed. It is the Catawissa Recreation area. @@TheBeatenTrail
Yes, but would like to see a winter trail regardless, or maybe sharing some trail access with Snowmobiles, maybe each get some of the action for snow and ice. I dont think that'll ever happen. Do you do any riding weekdays, weeknights? And I forget does the pilot permit specify night riding or no night riding? I'll have to check my packet.
Rumor mill paragon is DCNR
Most of the Southern trails are open after December 10th
Every consider doing a top 10 places to atv / sxs in PA and why. Just a thought. Nice video keep up the good work.
Yes! Was one of those episodes like “ which is better fro or aoaa” which i never finished. Once i revisit bloody and the atv pilot trails i will do that :)
Thanks
I would like to see a top places to ride in PA. My wife and I have only been to aoaa. We cant justify FRO with the yearly cost since we can't get out and ride very often. Since I started watching your videos you have shown me some other places to ride that I didn't know about. Lost trails is on our list for sure. Thank you for doing these videos. It is nice to see what the places are like before making the trip there and not knowing what to expect!

Thank you for sharing
Thanks for visiting
Great content and beautiful scenery
Thank you!
Have you ridden the trail connector to Haneyville Pa?
I have not, expecting to next week and then one of the last weeks of the season. Have my tag, do you have one? If you want I can join you on the grizzly one weekday if you want to ride. lmk PM me here or thebeatentrailllc at gmail d o t c o m
I’m 54 from NW Pennsylvania (Erie) I’ve been riding atv’s since i was a kid. However, around here it’s almost impossible to legally ride anywhere unless you either have permission or it’s your own property. Now, DCNR trails are available but a 30 mile trailering drive away (or more).
Just stumbled upon your channel, great video. Subscribed 👍
I know the NorthEast is just the pits, we share all the lands with the hunters, so Sept-April no riding unless you go AOAA, Rausch, FRO. I know not all days are good ATV days, but snow and ice are fun too! Thank you for subscribing. Hoping to get the Grizzly out to more of the haneyville area in the next few weeks, but maybe an AOAA group ride too! Will post it here and FB: The Beaten Trail LLC.
@@TheBeatenTrail I’m currently sitting on my Honda Foreman, in my woods drinking beer. Lol ..beautiful spot, I love it out here..wish I could send you a picture.
Nice with I could join ya.@@Swindy1794
So, naturally, we can not share the land. Those bad hunters. Yet, most hunters pay way more into DCNR than anyone else in the state.
Can you get away with riding an RMAX on a 58" trail system?
Well, "get away" is a hard one. For Whiskey and Bloody, you're legal. For the other 58" while there is no gate preventing you from being there, there is a ranger presence. We did see bikes on some trails, again, illegal for dirtbikes, so YMMV, but Michaux is 50", the others 58" other than Whiskey and Bloody. I hear that may change in the future, but no solid news yet, just rumors.
