Omg there adorable 😍 my favorite scents are snow fairy, dove, and rubarb n custard 😍 where do u get your supplies from if u don't mind me asking I'm gonna order the starter kit from fizzywizz or do u have any recommendations it's 30quid the kit u get 900g of wax 5x 10ml fragrance oils and the thermometer and a couple of wax dyes solid ones 10g and a mould snap bars xxxx
I've just looked at these kits and they look really good for the price. It varies where I get my supplies from. I try and buy when I need a few things as postage is not cheap. I buy a lot from Candle Supplies and Candle Shack. It's just personal preference especially with the fragrance oils 😊
I always add my fragrance at 185 f and pour at 140 f- suppose it depends on the wax your using- if you Google it - it tells you to add f/oil at 185f for all waxes ?? Can be quite confusing with the different wax temperatures
Yes it is confusing. Some say add it at higher temperatures and others say don't add it too high as it just burns off. Some companies now tell you the fragrance oils flash point and if you add the fragrance under this it won't burn off and lose the strength. I just usually go by what wax I am using and what it says in the wax instructions
How do you put the wick in those little MM candles? I thought the wick was supposed to go in first and then they would be in the candle when you pop them out of the mold. I have cactus candle molds. I put the wick in with a little wax or a wick holder and then pour the colored wax into the mold. Does this sound right? I have a small 4 cups pouring cup and wax melter that is electric.
These are wax melts and are used in a wax melter. They don't require wicks. Wax melts are placed in the top of a wax warmer/melter and a tea light candle is lit underneath which melts the MM wax melt to release the fragrance. I hope this helps 😊
@@freckleface1 I am new to this. I made candles in school back in the 1960's. But they were made of tallow. There was no such thing in the US as soy wax. It was tallow or beeswax. I am making burnable candles. I have a cloud mold and cactus molds. Also green and blue coloring. When you melt the wax after it is melted is that when you add the color?
Yes, it's the basically the same as in this video depending on what dye you use. You add the candle dye once you have melted your wax and stir it in. You should be able to find temperature recommendations on when to add it on the instructions or from where you purchased it 😊
I used my pipette to suck up some wax to use in my christmas moulds asoon as i went to drop it into the mould the wax in the pipette dried up? How do i stop this?
Could you maybe help me… i tried making candles in silicone molds for example an ice cream mold. I dyed my soy wax with various colors (liquid and powder) but the surface of some of the pieces in some of the places turn out like white. Hoelw do i avoid that happening…
It sounds like frosting. It is a natural effect you get from vegetable wax, especially soy wax. It won't affect the candle when you burn it. Keeping a steady warm temperature of the room whilst setting and curing your candles may help. It's lovely to have coloured candles, but keeping them the natural colour of the wax helps disguise frosting if you keep finding it a problem and dont like the look of it. I hope this helps 😊
I’m so glad I came across your video. I’ve been trying to figure out how to “paint” details in the molds. And now I know! ❤
Glad it's helped you 😊
So ADORABLE!!!!!
really cute
I just started making my own wax melts
I find it fun and relaxing to make my own. Are you enjoying it?
