- Took the Gold Monster 1000 out for a run on some old hard rock mines close to home, A very cool find and a suprise at the end.

As a 5 YO in 1958, they were a common coin.

What a cool find, old coins are grouse. Love a good relic or two. I also have a monster, plus a Vanquish 540. But again the creek is my best bet to get some colour. I HOPE YOUR BEHAVING YOURSELF! I am heading back to finish what I started the other day. Great to see the subs climbing, it is not easy. Congratulations and wishing you the best mate. Looking forward to the next "Podcast"

The gold I got today was 100m past where you were working almost the same set-up, outside deep and clay

Haha Yeah, i collect coins so it can be hard to get excited about a dirty, worn-out coin, It's still a really cool find though, I was happy about the .30 if it wasn't so bloody cold and I could classify or hold my pan I would have stayed longer.

I have a gold monster 1000 too and I’ve only just learnt about holding the button in on fully auto mode for the best ground balance. It’s a game changer! Interested how you think it goes in very hot ground. Cheers.
Yeah the button trick is for the newer gold monsters mine is an older one and it doesn't have the feature, but I hear it is very handy.
the hot ground can be an issue for the GM I back it off to manual 7 or 8 if that doesn't help I go back at night where it's going to be a lot quieter
