They told you the percentage difference. How are you going to judge by hearing on a youtube video? You have no frame of reference. All that will lead to is people whining they're too loud.

He compared previous roland pads and low volume cymbals to the new ones directly in a controlled environment, and even showed himself playing while talking comfortably over the sound of the pads. Great demo and much better than Rolands own video.
@@doublestrokeroll They could've played a typical mesh and rubber pad beside their new quiet pads with no changes in audio processing. Then you'd hear the difference.

Roland now being the only company that's taking on the noise issue with Edrums. Pretty amazing. I ended up buying a high density foam toddler mattress and floating the legs of my Yamaha frame and kick pedal on sections of plywood. Its really crude by it works.
This is such an underrated quality for edrum manufacturers to get right. Really, really hope that kick pad is sold separately too! Would make a great upgrade for many kits

I’ve been playing Roland since 87 (octapad!) and have many Roland instruments incld TD50, R8, SDE330, Pad80, SH5 and CR78 and it’s my fave product ever. Finally I can play 24/7 yeah!
@@demonicsweaters life changing…been testing one for a while. My fave drum product ever and I have had every model of V-Drums (since 97) , acoustic drums and a full acoustic studio space. Now I can track double kick at 2am in the lounge room yeahy! And it feels fantastic to play. Great for developing arm and wrist muscles because there’s not too much bounce. Love it.
I'm guessing that each specific noise reductions in the kit will be more or less effective depending on the floor and wall construction and materials. So their legal team probably wouldn't let them show an example: the real results for any given customer could be quite different.

Because the kits detached from the floor and floating there’s almost nothing transmitting through the floor. It’s been a revelation to be able to track double kick and play full boar for a recording at 2am. I love it.

I would have liked some empirical data though, such as differences in noise dB when comparing the quiet version to the normal version, averaged from their testing results. They can state disclaimers about how your mileage may vary depending on your environment, but at least give us some kind of demonstration.
