i love how all the moves have ultra edgy names, all the modern NG games do that :) maybe I'm mistaken, but I think I remember there being a move with the Dragon Sword on NG3:RE that was called "Rending Fall".
The Eclipse Scythe has so many moves and yet most people playing this game only use the damn Graveyard Spin. I really feel it has a lot of depth that people just aren't exploring. Would you happen to know any content creators or videos that showcase the full potential of this weapon in Razor's Edge? Also, thanks for this showcase. I've only recently gotten into the game via CEMU emulator and despite many moments of bullshit and frustration, it's really fun (and well animated, as this video shows). I really want to learn the game and not just use standard cheese tactics.
Yeah, people often uses the Graveyard Spin as a cheap move to overcome hard situations or cheese boss fights due to the many I-frames it gives. It was originally used mainly to beat Master Ninja mode hardest segments or the hardest mission challenges in the game when they were pissed off. Playing those difficulties without abusing such moves it is pretty possible though, but requires one to master dodging and blocking, and to know enemies/bosses attack patterns and animations as well. I believe the best players of this game does frame counting to know when a boss is vulnerable to stagger and the best moment to attack and input combos, but this level of skill is far above my own I'm afraid. I'm nowhere a specialist in this game. About other content creators I don't know that many, but if you search you can find some decent videos of people showcasing the weapons in actual gameplay. But unfortunately they might not be in the best visual quality since most of them are very old and they might not have enough or any explanation at all. There is also some discord and xbox live groups community with quite some skilled players who gives advices to new players, some of them still even do play coop sometimes. But those communities are not so active too. Maybe it can come back to life if a new game ever come to be released. You can try joining them or the official Koei Tecmo Discord to get some help about that.
Dude, Graveyard Spin spammers are turbo shitters playing on auto pilot through the game by abusing the properties of this broken move. The last thing they care about is depth. This might be too late but if you want some good gameplay for reference try these two playlists. This one was never finished but he switches weapons around constantly so i0m sure he uses the scythe from time to time: ua-cam.com/video/83kpXSnLx20/v-deo.html This one is finished and the guy playing is great but i know for a fact he does not use the scythe ua-cam.com/video/HvtYURhN9OA/v-deo.html
@@DeathtoRaiden1 if you mean at 5:43 the YY landing is correct. But I known which move you are talking about. Is the other that spins the scythe with 2 hands and launch into air. It was supposed be around that time, but it either got deleted on the final cut or I totally forgot to perform it at all. My bad.
