Although the finer atomization of refinish material out of these sprayguns will provide a smoother finish, it just like any other spraygun, will not overcome poor painting techniques that results in orange peel. Directly from Tony at SATA - Upgrading to the new SATA jet X with finer atomization can help with orange peel. The new jet X nozzle with the labyrinth design has a softer feel, and eliminates turbulence in the fan which also helps with material control to have better metallic control as well. The atomization is finer out into the fade out zone too, not just in the fan center. By having finer atomization into the fade out zone, it lessens texture on the outer fan edges. So with each pass a painter makes, there is less texture on the edges of each pass, offering a smoother lay down of color and clear. Of course there are other factors that cause orange peel as well. Proper panel preparation, proper reduction of the primer, sealer and paint materials, air pressure, gun distance and painter’s hand speed are all influencers in how much or how little orange peel there is on a panel, but the new jet X SATA guns will definitely help to eliminate some of the orange peel.
How are you going to pull needle back to remove nozzle when the trigger is the tool 🤨 "We made tge trigger out of the same material we have made the wrench out of for the last few years" Oh you mean the one that wears out fast and can no longer use to remove the spray nozzle? As well the air cap ring 😂 🤡
